CBSE Class 12 board exams 2027 will be held for students studying in the 2026-27 academic session. The main date sheet is not out yet. The 2026-27 curriculum and subject-wise sample question papers are available. The main List of Candidates window has closed, while schools can submit late entries until October 30, 2026.

The subject-wise exam dates, practical schedule, admit card date and result date will be added after CBSE announces them. Until then, the 2026 exam window from February 17 to April 9 gives a tentative idea of when the 2027 theory papers may be held.

CBSE Class 12 Exam Dates 2027

CBSE has not announced the subject-wise Class 12 date sheet for 2027. The tentative dates below are based on the 2026 schedule. In 2026, theory papers began on February 17 and ended on April 9. Each subject had its own date and duration.

The final date sheet will show the date, time, duration and subject code of every paper. A separate CBSE Class 12 date sheet page will carry the subject-wise schedule after it is announced. The latest notices can also be checked on the CBSE examination circulars page.

CBSE Class 12 Registration 2027

Regular students do not submit the board exam form on their own. Their school sends their name, subjects and other details through the List of Candidates, or LOC, system. The main LOC window closed on October 21, 2026. Schools could submit late entries up to October 30 by paying the late fee.

Private candidates use the online form meant for their category. This includes eligible compartment, essential repeat and improvement candidates. The last date with a late fee is October 30, 2026. CBSE Class 12 Eligibility Criteria 2027

A regular student must be studying in Class 12 at a CBSE-affiliated school and must be included in the school's LOC. The subjects entered in the LOC become the board exam subjects, so the school and student need to check the spelling of the name, date of birth, category and subject combination before the data is final.

Private candidates can appear only under the categories allowed in the current notice. Their eligibility depends on the earlier exam result, the subjects already taken and the purpose of appearing again. A private form is not a fresh Class 12 admission form.

CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2027

CBSE has kept the 2026-27 question paper design and assessment pattern unchanged from 2025-26. Theory papers are conducted in pen-and-paper mode. The duration and marks split depend on the subject, so there is no single pattern for every Class 12 paper.

CBSE Class 12 Syllabus 2027

The 2026-27 Class 12 curriculum is available for languages, academic electives, skill subjects and internal-assessment subjects. Each subject document gives the units, marks, practical or project work, prescribed books and other subject-specific rules.

CBSE Class 12 Sample Papers 2027

CBSE released the Class 12 sample question papers and marking schemes for the 2026-27 session on September 21, 2026. A sample paper shows the paper design, types of questions and internal choice for that subject. Its marking scheme shows how marks are divided across the expected answer points.

CBSE Class 12 Admit Card 2027

The 2027 admit card release date is not announced. Regular students receive the admit card from their school after the school completes the required CBSE process. Private candidates download it online when CBSE opens the admit-card link.

The admit card carries the student's roll number, subjects, exam dates, centre details and instructions. Any error in the name, subject or other details should be reported before the first paper. Release updates and the download process are covered on the CBSE Class 12 admit card page.

CBSE Class 12 Passing Marks 2027

The passing criteria for 2026-27 remain the same as in 2025-26. A student must pass five subjects. For a subject with theory and practical, project or internal assessment, the student needs at least 33% in each part separately and 33% in the subject when both parts are combined.

A student who does not pass one or more subjects may fall under the supplementary or essential repeat rules, depending on the result. The marksheet shows the final subject result; a high overall percentage cannot replace the separate pass condition of a failed subject.

CBSE Class 12 Result 2027

CBSE has not announced the Class 12 result date for 2027. The result will show subject-wise marks, grades and the qualifying status. Students will need their roll number and the other details asked on the result portal.

Post-result services such as verification, photocopy of the evaluated answer book and re-evaluation follow a separate schedule. Supplementary exam dates are also announced after the main result. These dates should not be treated as fixed until CBSE publishes the 2027 notices.
