Set 1, code 65/1/1, covered relations and functions, inverse trigonometric functions, matrices, determinants, calculus, vectors, three-dimensional geometry, linear programming and probability. The question numbers below refer only to this booklet.
Calculus appeared in both direct and applied questions. Question 22 used related rates to find how quickly the perfume level was falling in an inverted cone. Questions 26 to 29 covered integration and differential equations. The five-mark questions included a matrix problem and a second-order derivative identity.
Questions 23 and 24 tested vectors through coordinates and a parallelogram. Question 30 asked students to solve a linear programming problem graphically. Question 31 used a die and two bags of coloured balls for probability, while Question 35 asked whether two lines in three-dimensional space were parallel or intersecting.
The three case studies used familiar situations but required different parts of the syllabus. Question 36 connected subscription fees with maximum revenue, Question 37 used jackpot tickets for probability, and Question 38 used a roundabout and a circular pond for functions and area by integration.
The Mathematics syllabus has the unit-wise topics. The Class 12 exam pattern explains the common board-paper rules.
The 2026-27 Mathematics sample paper keeps the same design as the 2026 board paper: 38 questions, 80 marks, three hours and five sections. It has internal choices in Sections B, C, D and two case-study subparts. The Mathematics sample paper is available on the CBSE academic website.
The 2025 papers have different codes and question orders. Match the complete code printed on the first page before opening a solution.
