CBSE Class 12 Physics question papers for 2026, 2025, 2024 and 2023 are available below. The papers are listed by their printed codes so that each booklet can be matched with the correct solution.

The 2026 Physics exam was held on February 20. The theory paper had 33 questions for 70 marks and a writing time of three hours. Two papers linked here are Set 1, code 55/4/1, and Set 2, code 55/4/2.

CBSE Class 12 Physics Question Paper 2026

CBSE Class 12 Physics Paper Pattern 2026

Section A carried 16 one-mark questions. Sections B and C had short answers, while Sections D and E carried case-study and long-answer questions. The five sections together added up to 70 marks.

CBSE Class 12 Physics Question Paper Analysis 2026

The opening questions in Set 1 moved quickly across chapters. Questions 1 to 4 covered equivalent resistivity, the circular motion of charged particles in a magnetic field, current due to an orbiting electron and the dimensions of the rate of change of magnetic flux.

One-mark questions

The first four questions show that the one-mark section did not stay within one chapter. It mixed formula use, a diagram-based magnetic-field question and a dimensional check. A student had to change methods from one question to the next.

Short answers, case studies and long answers

Questions 17 to 28 moved through two-mark and three-mark answers. The final five questions carried 23 marks: two case studies worth eight marks and three long answers worth 15 marks. This made Sections D and E more important than their question count may suggest.

CBSE Class 12 Physics Sample Paper 2026-27

The 2026-27 Physics sample paper keeps the same design and assessment pattern used in 2025-26. It has 33 questions for 70 marks, divided into the same five sections. The Physics sample paper and marking scheme are available on the CBSE academic website.

CBSE Class 12 Physics Question Paper 2025

The 2025 table covers the 55/1, 55/2, 55/4, 55/5, 55/6 and 55/7 series, along with code 55(B). The last number in codes such as 55/1/1, 55/1/2 and 55/1/3 identifies the booklet set.
