University of Calcutta is inviting applications for admission to the M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology. Candidates can apply online through the University’s admission portal. Selection will be based on the Entrance exam and Viva-voce conducted by Calcutta University.

CU Kolkata MPhil Eligibility
- Candidates must have an M.A. / M.Sc. in Psychology / Applied Psychology / Clinical Psychology with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- A relaxation of 5% marks is provided to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PwD category.
- Candidates who have appeared in the M.A. / M.Sc. final examination can apply, provided their final marks must be submitted before the viva voce date.
CU Kolkata MPhil Entrance Exam Details
- The written test consists of 60 MCQs (1 mark each) and 1 long-answer question (40 marks), with a 0.25 mark deduction for each wrong MCQ answer.
- The time allocated for the test is 1 hour for MCQs and 30 minutes for the long-answer question.
- Long answers of only those candidates will be considered for evaluation who will secure at least 25% marks (15 out of 60 for candidates of the general category, 11 for SC, ST & PWD, OBC A & OBC B 13.5) in the MCQs.
- Results showing both MCQ and long-answer marks will be published on the Calcutta University official website.
- Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for a viva voce worth 50 marks.
- Candidates must pass both the written examination and viva voce for final course selection.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the written test (100 marks) plus viva voce (50 marks).
