Doon University Dehradun is inviting applications for PhD Admission 2024. Candidates can apply online through the Doon University admission portal before January 30, 2025. Selection will be based on the PhD Interview conducted by Doon University.

Doon University PhD Eligibility

• Candidates must have qualified national-level exams, such as JRF (UGC/CSIR), NET (UGC/CSIR), and GATE.
• Candidates who have secured a DST-INSPIRE Fellowship are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must have a Master’s Degree from a recognized institution.

Doon University PhD Admission Criteria

• JRF-qualified students will be admitted based on interview performance only, with the interview carrying 100% weightage.
• For NET Category 2 and 3 students, admission is based on a combined score, with NET marks carrying 70% weightage and interview performance carrying 30% weightage.
• NET scores for Category 2 and 3 candidates remain valid for one year for PhD admission.
• GATE-qualified candidate’s admission is determined by a combined score with GATE marks weighted at 70% and interview performance at 30%.
• DST-INSPIRE Fellowship holders may receive provisional admission based solely on interview performance, but final admission depends on receiving the Final Offer for DST-INSPIRE Fellowship after Level-2 clearance. Candidates must provide an undertaking acknowledging these terms.
• After completing online applications, candidates will be called for interviews and a merit list will be published on the university website.
