Provided below in the article is a last week BITSAT preparation strategy to help you ace the exam. BITSAT 2024 phase 2 is scheduled from June 24 to 28.
Last Week of BITSAT 2024 Preparation Strategy
Go through the points mentioned below to get a idea o what your last week of BITSAT 2024 preparation should look like:
Attempt previous years BITSAT papers and Mock Tests
Going through previous year papers and giving mock tests could help you in the following ways:
- Makes you familiar with the exam setting: You will know the exam pattern and attempt questions in a time bound manner
- Helps in building strategies to approach the paper: You get to understand what types of questions are your strong areas and those which are weak. As a result, you are able to develop time management skills and allot only the necessary time per question.
Efficient revision
If you have a good BITSAT Revision Plan for the last week, you will be able to score well in the exam. You can follow the below mentioned routine to efficiently utilise the last week before the exam:
Revision Day 1 to 4
For the first 4 days, do as follows:
- First Revision Lap - Morning (8AM to 12PM): Pick one subject each day among Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Logical Reasoning and English Go through the entire theory portion through formula handbooks and notes made during the preparation. For LR and English, instead of theory you can practise.
- Second Revision Lap - Afternoon (1PM to 5PM): Focus on doing formula based or numerical problems from the topics revised in the morning. These could range from moderate to difficult and attempt a mock.
- Third Revision Lap - Evening (7PM to 10PM): Once you are done with theory and solved a few numerical problems, sit for a proper analysis. Figure out the weak areas and go through those again either in theory or by attempting questions from previous year papers, mocks, etc.
Revision Day 5 and 6
On Day 5 and 6, you must quickly go through the topics that could not be covered in the first 4 days. Revise concepts and attempt mocks.
Revision Day 7
Last day of BITSAT revision should be very light. Go through formulas, revise important concepts and then spend a good time relaxing.
Keep a Positive Mindset
As the exam day comes close, students can't help but feel the jitters. However, you should try to stay calm and study with as much focus as possible.
Things to Avoid in Your Last Week of BITSAT Preparation 2024
- Starting new concepts: Most aspirants in an attempt to cover maximum syllabus start with new chapters/concepts. This, however, should be avoided for two main reasons - it doesn’t help you understand and explore the topic as well as your revision gets hampered.
- Over exertion: If you push yourself too much for studies without taking proper breaks, you will feel burnt out before giving the exam. As a result, it is necessary to take proper rest during the last week and make a balanced study plan.
