BITSAT 2026 application has started, and before jumping to application form fillup, you must understand the BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria in detail. Failing to meet required eligibility criteria means you would not be getting admission, regardless of your high BITSAT scores.
- As per BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria, the applicant must have passed Class 12th in 2025 or be appearing in 2026.

Ans: No. No round-off percentage is considered. As per BITSAT 2026 eligibility criteria, you should have a minimum 75% or more in PCM or PCB and minimum 60% or more in individual subjects in Class 12.

BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Improvement Exam Candidates (2025 Pass Outs)
You are eligible for BITS admission if you appear for the Class 12 improvement exam in 2025 to enhance your score.
- Even if you have applied for improvement in all subjects, appearing in selected subjects for improvement is allowed. Remaining absent in others is acceptable.
- If you have reappeared only in a few subjects, you will need to provide both of your mark sheets, the first marks along with the improved marks of the statement.

BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission to Board Toppers
The offer for direct admission without taking the BITSAT entrance exam is open only to the students who have obtained the first rank in state or central board examination as per announcement by the concerned board. As per recent years’ trend, about 15-17 students have secured admission under BITSAT Direct Admission Policy.
What are the eligibility requirements for direct admission ?
- Must be a Topper: As per BITS Pilani definition, “The students who have taken PCM or PCB in Class 12 board exam and have obtained the highest aggregate marks among all students” is a Topper.
- Minimum Marks Requirement: At least 75% aggregate in PCM or PCB.
- Subject-wise criteria: Minimum 60% in each subject.
Note: If the Board declares multiple first-rank holders or Toppers, BITS Pilani will admit only top 4 candidates under the direct admission Policy.

Ans: In case there are more than 4 candidates declared as first rank holders by a specific board, BITS Pilani uses the tie-breaker rule to shortlisted candidates as mentioned below:
