BITSAT 2021 Counselling: Seat Allotment (Iteration 2), Dates, Admission, Merit List

BITSAT Counselling Iteration 2 result has been released on 4 September 2021. Candidates can check the result on official website using the application number and password. Aspirants who have been allotted a seat in Iteration 2 need to report to the center to complete the admission process by paying fees till 11 September 2021. BITSAT Counselling 2021 and seat allotment procedure has been started by the BITS Pilani on August 21.

BITSAT Counselling is held for the admission of candidates who apply for the test. Only BITSAT qualified students will be permitted to take part in the counseling process. BITSAT 2021 Counselling Stages

BITSAT Counselling Process will begin in August 2021. The counseling process takes place in various iterations in which the admission and a waiting list of the candidates will be released.

  • After the declared BITSAT result on the official website, students who pass the engineering entrance test need to take part in the counseling procedure. BITSAT Counselling is directed within a week of the result being published.
  • BITSAT Counselling criteria includes two steps like as:
    • BITSAT 2021 seat allotment at respective college BITS
    • Document Verification
  • 4-5 iterations of BITSAT Counselling are expected to be published.
  • According to the BITSAT Merit list, the seat allocation process will take place.
  • Students whose names feature in the BITSAT waitlist must take part in the next level of the seat allocation.
  • Aspirants with low rank will be participated to take part in successive counseling phases in decreasing order of their rank till overall the seats will be filled in BITS campuses and programs.

BITSAT 2021 Counselling Registration

BITSAT 2021 qualifying candidates will be eligible for admission by filling the admission form for online counseling. BITSAT Admission Form has to be completed along with the 12th mark sheet. They have to enter the preferences of colleges and programs in which they want to get admission. Aspirants who have qualified 12th exam in the year 2020 and 2021 and have passed the entrance test, are eligible for BITSAT 2021 Admit List. Step 1 – Online Registration

  • Then, you click the link to apply for admission to integrated first-degree courses

Step 2 – Fill up the Important Information

  • Complete the BITSAT Counselling application form by giving BITSAT application/registration number.
  • Then students fill up the important and personal information like name, date of birth, mobile number, category, email id, etc.
  • Students are suggested to fill all the asked information carefully as they will be no chance given to cross-check and edit the details.

Step 3 – Educational Information

  • Students will have to fill up the educational information 12th class in the BITSAT admission application form.
  • As the students do not have the results, they can submit the same later by logging in.

Step 4 – College Preferences

  • Then students will have to shortlist the order of college/course preferences available.
  • So, fill in the college preferences in the right order.
  • Take a printout and send it to the Dean of the College.

Students who do not have a 12th Class mark sheet

  • Students without 12th class marks should take a printout of the fresh BITSAT admission form with the words mentioned on the top “Original Form Submitted”. Class 12th marks are being submitted now (when results will be released of such candidates).
  • The new application form will be sent to the college by such students.
  • No extra charges will be charged for the new application form.

BITSAT 2021 Counselling Fees

The BITSAT aspirants who have filled their application form need to pay the prescribed BITSAT 2021 counseling fee. The counseling fee for the BITSAT is INR 1000 and candidates must to this payment through the available payment method. The offline method of payment for the application fee can be done through the payslips at the ICICI Bank. Students will be required to save the payslips and deposit the fee in cash at the nearby ICICI Banks branch. Students should take the payment slip from the bank official when the payment application form fee has been successfully done at the respective bank.

BITSAT 2021 Selection Criteria

  • Educational requirement for courses except for B.Pharma – Candidates should have qualified for 12th exams from any recognized board with PCM subjects.
  • Educational requirements for B.Pharma – Candidates should have qualified 12th board or equivalent exam from with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology subjects
  • Percentage Process – In the 12th exam, aspirants should have an aggregate of 75% marks in PCM or PCB subject along with 60% in each subject.
  • Applying Students – Candidates who have qualified 12th exam in 2020 or appearing in the 2021 year are also applicable to apply BITSAT application form.
  • The Selection process will be made sure based on merit.
  • The merit rank of the candidate for admission will be depending on the score got by the students in the selection exam.
  • Candidates, who are studying at BITSA college, are not qualified to show up.

BITSAT 2021 Direct Admission to Board Toppers

First rank holders in state board and central board exams will be offered direct admission in programs available at BITS colleges. Board exam topper will be applicable for admission in programs offered at BITS school if they have an aggregate of 75% mark in PCM or PCB with a minimum of 60% marks in each subject.

Reporting to BITS College for 2021 Admission

  • After seat allocation, candidates are required to visit the campus to complete the admission process.
  • If the allotted seat is not the aspirant’s first preference, then he/she will remain on the waiting list till all the admission are finalized.

BITSAT 2021 Admission for International Candidates

  • The BITSAT application is also welcomed by International aspiring students, who have taken SAT.
  • SAT subject exams are held by the USA for admission to many first-degree courses.

BITSAT 2021 Tie-Breaker Process 

BITSAT admission offered by BITS colleges for many programs is completely dependent on the merit list. Other than that students have to meet the applicable criteria associated with aggregate marks to be got in the 12th class exam. Tie-breaker provision will be used in a condition wherein two or more applicants have an equal BITSAT score. The rules like:

  • BITSAT Scores of students in Biology and Math subjects will be measured for preparing the merit list.
  • If the tie still exists then the BITSAT scorecard of students in the Chemistry part will be taken into consideration.
  • If the tie-broken exists, then the scorecard of students in the Physics part will be considered for preparing the merit list.
