You can check the common mistakes that you must avoid while filling out the BITSAT Session 2 application form.
| Mistake | Impact | Fix |
| Using an email ID that becomes inactive | Misses OTP, admit card, and important communications | Use a personal email that stays active through June 2026 |
| Uploading a photograph in the wrong format or size | Application flagged; re-upload required, but the correction window may be closed | Check BITS Pilani photo guidelines before scanning |
| Selecting the wrong exam cities without checking availability | Gets allotted a distant centre with no option to change | Choose 3-4 cities in your region to maximise allotment chances |
| Not saving the Application Number after registration | Cannot log back in to complete the fee payment or form filling | Screenshot and save the Application Number immediately after generation |
| Skipping slot booking (May 13–15) | No confirmed exam slot despite successful registration | Slot booking is a separate mandatory step |
| Applying without checking the revised eligibility | The fee is paid, but the application is rejected during counselling | Confirm the Class 12 qualifying year is 2025 or 2026, and subject-wise marks meet the criteria |

Ques. Is there any need for a fresh registration if I have already registered for BITSAT Session 1, 2026?
Ans. No. Those who have done their registration for Session 1 will just have to add the second session from the dashboard using their Application Number and Password. Fresh registrations are only required for those who never had a previous registration attempt.
Ques. Will my Session 1 score be affected if I appear in Session 2 and perform worse?
Ans. No. BITS Pilani considers only the best score from both sessions for merit list preparation. Appearing in Session 2 and scoring lower than Session 1 will not reduce your existing score the higher of the two always applies.
Ques: I'm a student who reapplied for all the Class 12 exams in the year 2026. Am I eligible for BITSAT 2026?
Ans: No, in order to apply for BITSAT 2026, there have been certain changes made by BITS Pilani regarding the eligibility criteria, due to which such an application scenario is not allowed anymore. An individual who reapplies for all his/her Class 12 exams in a year subsequent to his/her initial attempt will not be eligible for BITSAT 2026.
Ques: Is it possible to change the exam city after registration for BITSAT 2026 session 2?
Ans: No, you will not be able to do so since the Test City Preferences will remain locked after the completion of the registration process and even in the correction window (May 7-9).
