These were the difficulty levels of GATE 2025 Shift 2 subjects -

• CS2: Moderate to Difficult – There were 65 questions asked out of which 50-55 were doable. Graphs and Chart questions were not there and Reasoning based questions had high weightage.  The General Aptitude section was easy but Mathematics was Technical. 
• NM: Moderate- There were 65 questions asked in NATS, MCQS , MSQs, for 100 Marks.  High weightage questions were asked from op-amps, diodes, and transistors.
• MT: Balanced-There were 65 questions asked in NATS, MCQS , MSQs, for 100 Marks. The General Aptitude Section was easy compared to others. 
• TF: Moderate to Difficult- There were 65 questions asked in NATS, MCQS , MSQs, for 100 Marks. Some sections were tricky. The paper was manageable according to the time given.
• IN: Moderate- There were 65 questions asked in NATS, MCQS , MSQs, for 100 Marks. High weightage questions were asked from Signal and Systems and Control Systems. 

According to the candidate’s feedback, the GATE 2025 Day 1 papers were easy to moderate overall. Experts believe that the GATE 2025 cutoff may go higher. However, we will get a better idea once the exams are over.

GATE 2025 February 1 Shift 2 for CS2, NM ,MT, TF and IN papers were reported to be moderate to difficult. The Aptitude and Engineering Mathematuics sections were comparatively more difficult according to candidates

IIT Roorkee has concluded the GATE 2025 Feb 1 Shift 2 exam at 5.30 PM. The Shift 2 exam was conducted for CS2, NM ,MT, TF and IN. The question paper with solution pdf and exam analysis will be available soon.

In the GATE 2025 exam, there are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Each type of question has its own method of scoring.

•  MCQs –  For a 1-mark question, 1/3 mark is deducted, and for a 2-mark question, 2/3 mark is deducted. 

• MSQs and NAT – Questions, which do not have multiple-choice options, there is no negative marking. This means that even if the answer is incorrect, no marks will be deducted. 

IIT Roorkee is expected to the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. Generally the scorecard us released 3 to 4 weeks after the exam.

GATE exam 2025 is being held for 30 different disciplines. The officials have released 8 IIT exam zones for 2025 which are IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee.

IIT Roorkee has started the GATE 2025 Feb 1 Shift 2 exam at 2.30 PM. The exam will continue till 5.30 PM.

As per the candidates the difficulty level of GATE 2025 Shift 1 was moderate to tough. The paper-wise analysis is as follows:

• Computer Science & Information Technology (CS1): Moderate to Difficult – There were 65 questions asked out of which 50-55 were doable. The general Aptitude section was easy but overall it was difficult to manage all the question in time. 

• Mathematics (MA):  Difficult- There were 65 questions asked in NATS, MCQS , MSQs, for 100 Marks.The most weighted topics were- Real Analysis, ODE, PDE, Topology and Calculus, which had the most trick questions.

• ​Agricultural Engineering (AG): Balanced-There were 65 questions asked in NATS, MCQS , MSQs, for 100 Marks. General Aptitude section was easy. 

• Data Structures – 3 questions (1 mark each), 3 questions (2 marks each)
• COA (Computer Organization and Architecture) – 2 questions (1 mark each), 4 questions (2 marks each)
• Digital Logic – 2 questions (1 mark each), 2 questions (2 marks each)
• Computer Programming – 1 question (1 mark), 2 questions (2 marks each)
• Algorithm – 1 question (1 mark), 2 questions (2 marks each)

IIT Roorkee has concluded the GATE 2025 Feb 1 shift 1 exam at 12.30 PM. Candidates can check the paper analysis with memory based question paper in some time.

IIT Roorkee has released the GATE sdmit card 2025 on the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Registered candidates can download their GATE hall tickets from the GOAPS portal using their Enrollment ID and password and keep it safe. 

The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on February 1, 2,15, & 16, 2025. There will be two sessions on every exam date - the Forenoon session (FN) from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and the Afternoon session (AN) from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM.
