IIIT Una is inviting applications for PhD Admission 2024. Candidates can apply by filling out the Google Form along with the scanned copies of the certificates. Selection will be based on PhD Entrance test and interview conducted by IIIT Una.

IIIT Una PhD Eligibility
- Candidates must have a Master’s Degree with at least 60% marks or 6 CGPA from any recognized University.
- Candidates having a 4 year Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks or 6 CGPA should have qualified GATE/CSIR/UGC _NET/DST INSPIRE/JEST/N BHM or other national fellowship are eligible to apply.
- Candidates from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) completed B.Tech./B.E./Integrated M.Tech./ Integrated M.Sc. programme, must obtain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 75% marks at the time of graduation, and before they formally register for the PhD programme.
- National-level examinations such as GATE/NET etc. are not mandatory for admission to the Part-time PhD Programme.
- For admission to the Part-time PhD programme graduate candidates (B.E/B.Tech. from CFTIs/Central Universities) must have a work experience of 1 year and candidates with a B.E/B.Tech. degree from any other institution must have a work experience of 2 years after completion of the degree.
- A relaxation of 5% marks is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved category.

IIIT Una PhD Admission Details
- The PhD Entrance test will consist of 50 MCQs of 1 mark each.
- The syllabus of the written examination is GATE 2025 Syllabus.
- The applicants who are GATE/NET Qualified are exempted from the written test.
- Employed applicants are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of the interview stating that:
- The candidate is permitted to pursue studies on a part-time basis.
- The candidate’s official duties permit them to devote sufficient time to research.
- Facilities for research in the candidate’s field of research in the area in which admission is sought are available at the candidate’s place of work.
- The candidate will be fully relieved from duty and permitted to reside at the Institute for the minimum residential requirement of the program.
- Original documents of age proof/degrees/mark sheets/experience must be presented at the time of the Written Test and Interview.
