The Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released a notification stating that holders of M.S. (Traumatology and Surgery) degrees are now temporarily eligible to take the NEET Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2024 exam. It has been done so that they can apply for M.Ch. courses in Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery subject to the publication of the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations (PGMER) 2025 and final approval of the same.

A recent public advertisement by PGMEB-NMC brought into focus this critical shift, giving M.S. (Traumatology and Surgery) graduates a new academic track. The provisional eligibility is based on the approval of the new rules.

Application Procedure for NEET-SS 2024
Applicants who fulfill the eligibility can apply for NEET-SS 2024 on the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) officially.
