NIT Goa is inviting applications for the Visvesvaraya PhD Programme under the Phase II scheme, offering research opportunities in the fields of Electronics Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES). Candidates can apply by filling out the Google form.

Eligibility Criteria for NIT Goa PhD Admission

• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (M.E./M.Tech.) in the relevant discipline (CSE, ECE, EEE) with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks.
• For SC/ST candidates, a minimum CGPA of 6.0 or 55% marks is required.
• Exceptional candidates (CGPA ≥ 9.0) with B.Tech./B.E. from a reputed institute are also eligible to apply.
• Applicants must have a GATE qualification or any other recognized fellowship such as JRF, UGC NET, or DST-INSPIRE.

PhD Selection Process

• The selection process involves shortlisting based on eligibility and the required documents.
• Interviews will be held in both offline and online modes, with multiple rounds of interviews.
• Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email.

Fellowship Details for Full-Time PhD

Note: Candidates will also receive a Research Contingency Grant of INR 1,20,000/year to support their research work, one time International Conference, and a one-time Support of INR 1.5 Lakhs for visiting Labs abroad.

Candidates must bring the below-listed self-attested documents at the time of interview:

• Filled in application form
• Completed biodata with a photograph
• Photocopy of mark sheets (secondary, higher secondary, and university exams)
• GATE/NET scorecard (if applicable)
• Proof of date of birth
• Community certificate (if applicable)
• For part-time applicants, an NOC from the current employer is required
