Eligibility Criteria For PhD Admission

To be eligible for admission at Rayat Bahra University for PhD, the candidates must fulfil the following criteria:-

  • Completed a 1-year/2-semester master's degree in a relevant discipline after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree.
  • Completed a 2-year/4-semester master's degree in a relevant discipline after a 3-year bachelor's degree.
  • Hold a qualification equivalent to a master's degree in a relevant discipline, declared by a statutory regulatory body.
  • Secured at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade on a point scale.
  • Hold an equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an approved agency.
  • Completed a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 75% marks in aggregate.
  • Have full-time teaching or research/industry experience of at least 4 years.
  • Currently working in an AICTE/UGC-approved College/University/Government agency/industry.
  • Meet the eligibility criteria as per Rayat Bahra University regulations and UGC Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD Degree Regulations, 2022.

  • 4 recent passport-sized photographs
  • Academic certificates (10th, 12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation)
  • JRF/NET/GATE certificate (if applicable)

  • Photo ID proof (Aadhar card) and Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Semester fee payment receipt
  • M.Phil. certificate and coursework completion certificate (if applicable)
