Eligibility Requirements For PhD Program At Calcutta University

To be eligible for the admission at University of Calcutta, the candidates must fulfil the following criteria:-

  • Master's degree (MSc) in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks or UGC grade 'B'
  • Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently-abled applicants as per UGC guidelines
  • NET/GATE qualified candidates can directly proceed to the interview round after submitting their research proposal/statement of purpose
