Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur organized an exclusive US-India Educators’ Roundtable during the prestigious TiE Global Summit, welcoming 34 distinguished delegates from the United States and across India for a forward-looking discussion on entrepreneurial learning and institutional innovation.
The impactful roundtable brought together representatives from prominent academic institutions, global networks, and ecosystem builders, including Amity University Punjab, Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology & Management, Gramothan, Jagriti Yatra, Vivekananda Global University, Kanoria College Jaipur, IIS Jaipur, Houston Community College, Walnut Schools, TiE Tampa, TiE Atlanta, and TiE U Global Co-Lead, among others-creating a dynamic platform for cross-border academic and entrepreneurial collaboration.
All delegates received a warm welcome and felicitation from N. D. Mathur, President of Vivekananda Global University, who highlighted the vital role of global academic partnerships in building agile, entrepreneurial, and socially responsible institutions.
The roundtable was led by Dr. Paul Lopez of TiE Atlanta, who reshaped the session into an engaging team-building and deep-learning forum rather than a traditional panel. He encouraged active peer networking, cross-learning, and reflection, ensuring every delegate took away at least one actionable best practice for their institution.
The conversations moved past conventional entrepreneurship, exploring emerging ideas like regenerative economics, purpose-led startups, and educators’ expanding roles as ecosystem catalysts. A standout feature was the “Superpower Exchange,” where delegates shared institutional and personal strengths and collaboratively examined how these could be transformed into scalable best practices across regions.
Several innovative approaches to foster a startup mindset among students emerged during the discussions. A notable model was showcased by Vivekananda Global University, which has implemented a credit-based Hackathon/Ideathon framework, training students to identify real-world challenges, develop solutions, and build startups within their curriculum, while also connecting them with mentors and investors.
This initiative closely reflects the vision of Onkar Bagaria, CEO of Vivekananda Global University, whose central mission is to nurture job creators over job seekers by integrating entrepreneurship deeply into higher education.

The roundtable gained further depth through thoughtful contributions from Prof D. V. S. Bhangavanulu, Pro-President of Vivekananda Global University, and Ms Malvika Dudi Bagaria, Director, Faculty of Management, VGU. Both highlighted the importance of structured mentorship, industry integration, and values-led innovation in strengthening academic ecosystems.
