Remarks :
Kaziranga University doesn't conduct any entrance examination/ Interview to onboard students. They almost give admission to everyone who has passed their 12th Boards in UG Programs. However, if you have scored around some predefined percentage range, you can get a scholarship upto 100 per cent.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum was good for me. It was a good mixture of both practical knowledge and theory knowledge. The faculties are well trained and knowledgeable from renowned institutions. In spite of being a Private University, the examinations are conducted very strictly and the evaluation is also done strictly which is good because it makes you work hard and learn better.
Internships Opportunities :
The University offers a lot of internship opportunities. I worked at NEEPCO, IOCL, NEIST- Jorhat. The University makes sure you get into internships with good recognition without paying any fee, even if you don't get into such internships, the University has some tie-ups for internships that can be opted for upon paying some amount
Placement Experience :
I cracked more than 8 companies in the placement of Kaziranga University. They will make sure you end up in a Job. It might not be in the core sector as your degree domain but you will end up in some kind of Job
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I was from the general category and during admission I paid a one-time admission fee of 20,000 and a time registration fee of? 10,000. Moreover, per semester my fees were 55,000. In case you end up having a backlog you need to pay 300 Per Paper to register for the subject to reappear.
Campus Life :
Campus life is fun. It's a lush green campus spread across a huge area. There are two cafeterias, big grounds, a music room etc. There are different clubs like Art and Culture, Entrepreneurship, Body and Soul & Sports. You can be a student coordinator by applying in various posts in the clubs and you can also be a participant in the events conducted by these clubs.
Hostel Facilities :
I was a day scholar and didn't opt for a hostel. However, my friends at the hostel used to enjoy their stay and sometimes day complained about the food but more or less the food was good. They had a fun time with their friends in the hostel living together.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
