- I love the campus life here, It's pleasant other than the rough place like guwahati, the place is awesome, very calm to leave here
- Faculty is very educated, They help us every possible way.
Dislikes
- There is lack of Labs for my department, but Our Dean sir said it will be provided to us by Jun-Jul 2025
- The in Campus Cafe charges tax & Gst on Foods, like if it's a samosa for 10 rs they will more rs.3-4, that's what I hate a little about it
Remarks :
It doesn't require any exams to get into it but surely there's a percentage criteria to get admitted in each course, it vary. I was researching about university after my 12th and found this university far from city in a quite environment with pleasant surrounding. That made me choose this university
Course Curriculum Overview :
As my 12th ended i started searching for university and courses, I researched a lot and lastly found this course which I found fascinating and thought this could be the course I can work on, I deeply research about the course and found really great so got admitted here, Course is good, Academic is also good, Faculties are also very educated
Internships Opportunities :
I am right now in 1st sem, I will be doing my internship in my 7th and 8th sem. But yes they give us free hand to choose which hospital to choose for internship. My senior, many of them are doing in GMCH (high reputation in Assam)
Placement Experience :
I am not sure about my department placement but KU provide 100% placement to MBA & B.Tech student. It has been mentioned in KU's Website, although they provide Clinical posting for our department (OTT) in 4th Sem. And 15 days clinical posting in 2nd sem just to get the basic idea of OT
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For first registration into KU's website it will charge you something like 723 And then admission fee depends on the course you're choosing, for me it was 20,00 Than Next comes the semester fees Depending on your course it will vary but for B.Sc Hons. OTT it's 30,000/sem Also they will charge 10,000 at the time of your semester fees, it will be for your student email, ID card, Uniform etc.
Campus Life :
KU campus is very well maintained, the surrounding area very cleaned and very calm, The campus had the best view insode, The infrastructure are also good, There are numerous showcase like fountain and all inside it.
Hostel Facilities :
I'm in a rented room, Its 2 km away from KU Location: Panichakua, You have to move to jorhats way 2 km from the Kaziranga University and you'll get there within 5-6 minutes Where I live is a PG though we managed to get it for Rented by talking to pg owner

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
