- I like our Professors and one of our lab assistance very much. Our college has three different buildings, Science Building, Arts Building and Authority Building. Campus is very Good and enjoyable. Canteen is very clean and affordable food is there for you everytime.
- College Common room is one of the safest and enjoyable place for you . U can hear music and dance also . There are many indoor games like table tennis, carram etc.
Dislikes
- I don't like college union room , because there are many gathering
- All faculties are good but there are many bad persons in faculty department who take money to do some tasks.
Remarks :
First of all Surendranath College has its own legacy and this college is one of the top college in Kolkata. But the only thing which I think as a bad aspect is here u can see huge politics and union things . No interviews or written test is required, only if u have very good marks in boards like 70 % above , then u will be admitted directly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I want to master Physics, Chemistry and , Math . I don't want to master only one subjects. And on the other hand i thought that I'll prepare for neet exam and complete my graduation together and I choose Normal Bsc. General so that it will not put pressure in my head . Examination of this course occurred in every semester. There are total 6 semester, Two in a year . Total 6 exams . Exam level is very decent and descriptive.
Internships Opportunities :
No internship available is our college. But there are something available like internship in NCC . Those students who are in NCC training, will get some money for completing their tasks like to maintain public in Durga Puja or any social Events.
Placement Experience :
There are many of placements and job opportunities in top companies like TCS, WIPRO, COAL INDIA . But this is for those students who have the eligibility. But personally I am not eligible for those kind of jobs so I decided to study for government jobs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I paid 4160 per semester and exam fees 605 per semester, all students have to pay this fees whether they are sc or OBC . No fees deduction procedure is there . Swami Vivekananda scholarship of rupees 18000 is available for students who scored more than 75% in their board exams
Campus Life :
Campus Life is very cool and awesome. First when u will join , a freshers party will organised by Students authority . This freshers party will happed in one month of joining. And another College social program will happen in September. Besides this two events, there are many events like Sports , Volleyball tournaments , Inter College Cricket And Football Tournaments . The Library of Surendranath College is huge and a lot of books and journals are available. As I already mentioned above , Many sports activities are there like Football, Volleyball, Cricket , Table tennis and extracurricular activities like political procession are organised by college students union. One of the top social group of TMCP (TRINOMUL CHHATRA PARISHAD)
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted hostel but couple of my friends stayed in college hostels. I have heard that the hostel mess is very clean and there are many free space for roaming around. The quality of food is very decent and fresh . For applying for hostel room you have to talk with college authorities and submit an application to the principal. Hostel room are very cheap to afford. There are many PG or rooms besides our college,but it will take too much money because the rooms are located near Sealdhah Station so stay in college hostels is very good and affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
