Likes
- The cross cultural relationship between students and teachers are extremely formal and informal at required times. It leads to effective communication between us that helps to understand things better.
- The teachers are highly qualified and hold a phd degree in their corresponding fields.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure and campus boundaries are limited. We don't have a playground of our own we have to borrow another park for outdoor physical activities.
- The minor subjects teacher tends to change during every semester break. I don't like this as it creates a gap between the communication between teachers and learning that subject
Remarks :
I was recommended this college by my teacher in Class 12. I researched about this college through Google and few of my friends. And about admission I got admission through walk in process while being physically present in the campus. As I live in Darjeeling and am studying far from home the college experience is very tough and challenging for me but I am getting used to it. I'm in my 2nd year or college and I have met new friends and teachers who are really like family to me
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I wanted to do MBA from reputed college and prepare for CAT and GMAT. I researched thoroughly through internet and discovered that to get MBA from a good college I have to do BBA from a good institution. Therefore IIAS is a well known college for management and this was the reason for me to choose it. The faculty of the college is very professional and Highly qualified. They tend to communicate well with students and the student teacher relationship is formal and informal at required times. The teachers conduct seminars in the class and include students in the workshop as well . The exam dates are fixed by the University board and are dated I'm two halfs of the year. The first semester final exam happens in July and even semester in January every year.
Internships Opportunities :
We get internship opportunities only during the 5th and 6th Semester. But as of now in 3rd semester we have been on one industrial visit and currently we are doing one work learn program at Pantaloons where will get certificate and one month working experience on retail sector.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement is that all fees have to be clear, the students attendance must be 75% in all semesters and there should be minimum backlog papers against the students. The average packege from placement ranges from 2.4 LPA - 4LPA. The main recruiters are Reliance , Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ITC. After getting degree I will opt for 2 years work experience and then sit for CAT and GMAT exam and then get MBA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure of my course in college is 40000 per semester and in this students get discount as well. During our admission we have to sit for scholarship test and according to our score in scholarship we are availed certain discount. I scored 32 /40 . I have to pay 36000 per semester. Other classmates of mine are also availed of this discount.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is very fun. There are fests quite often during the year. In April - May there are sporting activities between departments and other MAKAUT colleges. During Festivals also the college holds Cultural Fests and Programs That comes in the corresponding festival months. The availability of books and journals in library is enough for the students for our studies. We can avail variety of books from the library with the help of our library card. The classrooms are well equipped with smart boards and projects for virtual learning. There are three groups in the college • Photography Club • Social Club and • Sports Club for students. One student can choose only one club.
Hostel Facilities :
No I haven't opted for hostel. I live by myself in a rented room few mins away from college . The only hostel my college provides is for girls students only therefore I do not know much about it. However there is a canteen for both hostelers and regular students. We can get breakfast, lunch and dinner at affordable prices in the canteen. The quality of the food is average. I live in Agam Singh Giri Nagar, Lane No.5 , Dagapur, Siliguri at a ?6000 per month room.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
