I faced National eligibility cum entrance test that is (NEET) for admission in college. There is a state councelling which accounts for 85% of total seats The cut-off for which started from 508 marks in NEET in 2022 Then in 2023 it was 534 marks . Then there is all India councelling conducted by VCI (placement is random the least cut-off in 2022 was 434 and highest was 585) accounts for 15% of total seats. Self financed seats is also there that cost around 10 lakhs(buying seat)+ 3lakhs(fees) (cut-off for SFS varies year to year) The factors which made me chose this college were One of the best veterinary Colleges in India for academics it is on top of most veterinary Colleges in India . Location is beautiful and so is the campus. Affordability is good that is around 3lakhs for entire degree along with hostel expanses. Bads- . Less exposure in clinics (mostly dogs come to clinics) . Infrastructure was built for lesser students but seats increased thus hard to manage sometime
Why this course- Opens a vast scope of opportunities after graduation with a good amount of money in most fields. As it is very unexplored field there are still huge scope in future. Curriculum The yearly system is followed. Syllabus followed based on VCI 2016 regulations. The academic part is the best of this college Can call it as one of the best veterinary Colleges for academics in India. Faculties Most of the teachers are PHDs in there respective subjects from colleges like IVRI and NDRI which are best colleges for PHD in entire India. Many holds single and double digit ranks in exams like JRF. Most of the teachers are of 30-40 age group making it easy for students to communicate with them for academics and even personal problems Teaching style varies But most teacher are well experienced and are able to deliver their knowledge to students. Every student gets an advisor which guids student fir future and also listen to personal problems of students in college.
Internship is Provided by college itself as just like medical Colleges there is a veterinary hospital in college where students have to give duties There are 18 departments in college and students have to work for 10-15 days in each department during internship. Along with this the students are sent to different veterinary centers of states (Una , kullu) for real life field exposure of students. And then they are also sent to other colleges like GADVASU (Ludhiana) for exposure in other colleges with higher patient load. The stipend is provided is around 4000/- per month The intern have to work as a doctor in different departments and perform different roles which are done by doctors of that department during its intership.
Campus placements are not there. But there is a wide scope of opportunities after graduation. As one can start practicing as a vet in private clinics with salary of around 25000/- per month in starting. But after completing post graduation this salary increases to 70 to 80,000 /- per month in starting and keeps on increasing with experience Yearly placement as veterinary officers is also there but it is late one can appear for commission exam and get placed as VO earlier Other opportunities are also there like nutritionist in animal farms. One can do MBA after veterinary and can join companies which provides huge packages.
1st year I paid 47000/- and for second year it was 42000/- for third year the fee structure is same that is 42000/- and in 4th year too it is 42000/- for internship year you get and allowance of around 4000/- per month no fee charged for internship
No fests are organised by college accept for the freshers and farewell which happens every year . (Busy schedules of students makes it hard to organise fests in college ) College library is small but there is University library which is big and have all the books related to curriculum and other subjects for students. Classrooms are clean. Less strength makes it easy for students to communicate to teacher during class thus makes studying a bit more interesting as teachers clears most of the doubts in class itself Sports and athletics meet inert college is organised every year where our college is winner from last 3 years. Students are selected and are taken to compete at national level. Same goes for youth fest (cultural activities) organised every year and selected candidates gets chance to compete at national level. As such no social groups in college except for Students council and anti ragging.
Hostel infrastructure is not really that good for under graduate students and needs some renovations as hostels were made for lesser students but with increasing seats in college harder for students to adjust. College is working on it but due to lack of funds it will take time. Mess and food quality is exceptionally good food both for veg and non veg students is there. Students get parantha in morning and rice and chapati with vegitable for lunch and dinner varies. Hostel fee is around 25000/- for year (excluding mess , mess bill varies with diet of the person) Pgs and rooms are available near to college.
The university provides good placement and internship opportunities. The training, guidance, and support are helpful, and the process is well-organized. Overall, the experience is positive, and students get valuable exposure for their careers.
Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.
I choose ba as I needed a bachelors degree to pursue llb . All the faculty members are highly qualified and well educated and every teacher has their own teaching method. The exams are conducted annually for BA which is not very difficult
placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs

This is the only university that provides you 100% placement the internship are also great A whole lot of companies came here and provide you suitable packages according to your skills .the internship starts from the third year and it provides you the time to grind your skills
I got this based my JEE advanced rank. The faculty student ratio, typically between 15:1 and 20:1, allows for personalized attention and interaction. Faculty are well qualified for the job and their teaching methods are very good. The exams have a typical timeline and they are quite challenging to pass.
There are 36 companies that come to this college every year are maximum student get placements every year. Maximum placment probability is from computer science engineering . Highest package from this college is 1.7 cr
Our college placements are growing new companies are approaching to our campus for recruitment and internships. Google , Microsoft, Goldman Sachs,TCS and many more big companies visited our campus. so placement scenario is good than overhyped private colleges.
