Joining IIT Bhilai is worth it

- College campus is so beautifull of IIT Bhilai with newly made infrastructure
- The thing i love is we have given AC facilities in our hostel rooms
Dislikes
- The culture is somewhat missing that every IIT must contain
- Sports facilities are not that good , we dont have a sports complex yet it is in phase 2 of IIT Bhilai yet to construct
Remarks :
I cleared JEE advanced 2023 with rank 10k to get admission in IIT Bhilai . The factors that motivated me are obviously its best quality infrastructure as it is a new IIT and its study system although the cultural here is somewhat different than that of old IITs but still it is worth it
Course Curriculum Overview :
The academics part is obviously very strong as it is an IIT also the faculties are highly qualified phd holders and the study system with other activities are quite balanced as well . We have 2 main exams in one semesters mid sem and end sem and other than that there are certain quizzes according to professors within the semesters and the difficulty level is quite okay if you prepare for it well
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities are currently not that good as average package is around 14 lpa which is good but still as a IIT it is somewhat low , although some companies like infosys,deolite ,Tcs ,etc come here . Also one will have sufficient skills that he or she will be able to grab a decent job offcampus .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For Sc St the tution fee is 0 while for all other categories tution fee is 1 lakh per semester making it 2 lakh per year which includes study and lab facilities . Other than than 50k fee is taken for other things which include hostel fee development fee mess fee management fee , etc
Campus Life :
Here i will say something that IIT Bhilai lacks in is the cultural part which is somewhat different from old IITs and also the sports facilities are growing because IIT Bhilai moved to its permanent campus in 2023 only thus a significant amount of work is still to go still temporary badminton courts table tennis courts Volleyball courts and basketball courts along with ground for cricket and football are available . The clubs are quite good which let students interact in the field of interest they pursue . Library facilities are also available
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels and infrastructures are top notch no doubt in it as it has opened in 2023 itself also ACs facilities are there in every room but when it comes to mess food there are three mess with all veg and non veg food , the taste is just okay not very good . Hostel rooms will be allocated itself once you take admission and the things will proceed

There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placement Experience :
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
