Is third gen iit worth it or not??

- 1 They all are equipped with lifts and acs. All the departments are different and ran by there faculties. You can see exactly how things are managed in real life. For eg. Our fluid prof oversees the central cooling system.
- We have a bridge connecting all the departments and lecture halls.
Dislikes
- Mess food is not good. Irrespective of how much we complain nothing changes.
- Since the college is fairly new, we lack people to use many technologies.
Remarks :
I cleared JEE mains and advanced. I started studying for it in 11th onwards as soon as I decided wanted to study science. The exam is fairly straightforward but requires rigorous hard work. I studied alot for it. There is no other way to get into an IIT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is not property set. Since the IIT is new, things change frequently. Some of the faculties are good. They have many new machines and technology which is good for research. There are less people using it since the number of students are less.
Internships Opportunities :
You can get software internships very easily. I did an intern in IIT Bombay after my third year which was in biomechanics. I found that internship through cold mailing and since I had previously worked on it, I got selected.
Placement Experience :
We have a group of people called CCPS which is our placement cell. It brings in companies for placement and internships. They work very hard. All the department have placement FIC and the cell as whole is seen by a faculty and an incharge.

Campus Life :
The infrastructure is great. All the buildings are beautiful. We have functional ac in our rooms and lift in all our hostels. College has many clubs and societies, you will definitely find something you can be an integral part of.
Hostel Facilities :
You will be given a form on admission. Don't need to do anything separately. Unlike other colleges where you have to separately apply for hostels and mess, in IIT you fill all the forms together and the fees is cumulative.

There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placement Experience :
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
