- The campus is huge and the infrastructure is great. There are enough classrooms. And even splendid lawns and sports ground.
- The teachers are really knowledgeable and highly educated. It enables us to interact with such great minds and learn from them.
- The societies are very active and provide experience with hands on work in the real world.
- The college fests and events are always happening and there is never a dull moment.
- Cleanliness and hygiene are well taken care of and everything is regularly cleaned.
Dislikes
- Air Conditioners are not there in all the classrooms which creates a humid environment in the sunmer weather.
- Sometimes classes are scheduled for long hours and studying continuously for 5-6 hours gets difficult
Remarks :
For admission in a undergraduate program in Delhi University, CUET exam is to be given, which is conducted by NTA on a national level. Based on the score obtained in CUET and the cutoffs of different colleges, seats are allocated to students. No interviews or GD rounds are conducted. I prepared for the CUET exam by self study as it is an easy exam with the same syllabus as class 12th CBSE Board. I chose to get admission here because the fee is nominal and the faculty and study environment is very productive. Also, the opportunities for internships and placements in Delhi University are the best in India. The exposure i get here is incomparable. All the student societies are active and provide a platform for extra curricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I completed schooling from commerce stream and due to my interest in subjects related to commerce i chose to pursure B.Com(Hons) for graduation. The curriculum includes subjects like financial management, marketing, corporate accounting, business laws, etc. Exams are held at the end of each semester, that is twice a year. The exams are quite extensive and difficult but if you have conceptual understanding of the subject good marks can be scored easily. The teaching faculty is really great, i study all the subjects in class only and do not require any tuition classes other than college for preparation. All the teachers are highly qualified PHD holders, and have a good experience in teaching.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like inseconds, bajaj, goldman sachs, DE Shaw, etc provide internship opportunities to the college students. The stipend ranges from 5000-2000 per month. The roles offered are generally marketing intern or business development intern.
Placement Experience :
The college placement cell taps in different companies and provides ample placement opportunities for the graduating students. Recruiters like Bain&Company, BCG, Honda, Accenture, Deloitte, Delco, etc visit the campus for the placement interviews. 95% of the students get placements through college. The average package according to last year’s placement is 10.4 lacs whereas the highest package was a whopping 36.5 lacs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee is 26000 per year which is to be paid at the beginning of every year till the graduation is completed. There is no other admission fee or compulsory charges except for the exam fee. The exam fee has to be paid while filling the exam form at the end of each semester. The exam fee(for all subjects combined) amounts to rupees 1100-1600 depending upon the course. In my opinion this is very affordable compared to other universities in India offering the same course.
Campus Life :
The campus life is very vibrant. There are 40 societies in Hindu College, covering all domains. All societies hold their annual fests during feb-march, where they portray their work and conduct competitions. The college fest is held in the month of april. It is a 3 days event with activities, competitions, from dance to music to modelling. DJs & singers come to perform a concert during the fest. On festivals like diwali, fest is held for celebration. The college is never boring, always there are different events happening in campus. There is a balance between study & fun. The college library is very big, with 2 floors, books of different authors of all subjects are available in the library and can be borrowed by the students. The classrooms are good. With blackboards, projectors and screens and ACs. There is equipment available for all sports and competitions are held regularly. And the various societies focus on extra curricular activities like corporate projects, dance, music, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel fee is around 85000 for the whole year which is more affordable compared to other accommodation facilities. Food is served 4 times in the hostel mess and the quality of food is good, application for hostels is to be submitted at the beginning of the year and details about the same are posted on the college website. PGs are available around campus in all budgets, ranging from 5000-4000 per month. Different amenities and locations are available based on the rent.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
