During our time, Admission was based on Higher secondary Examination marks. Now DU is giving equal weightage to +2 marks and Entrance exam. There are news citing the possibility about going back to old system for admission. Based on my Reasearch, I found that Hindu College is the best science college in India as per NIRF Ranking. So, I chose Hindu College because I was aspiring for a graduation in pure science. It was a good decision.
I had an aspiration to do an Hons Course in pure science. Physics and Zoology were my favourite subjects and finally chose Zoology because of multiple reasons. Firstly to write Indian Forest service Examination with Zoology as an Optional Subject, an Hons Background will be really useful. An Msc Biotechnology from IIT Bombay or an Integrated PhD in Biological sciences from IISC Bangalore were also my ambition at that time. Faculties were really helping us to fulfill our aspirations. Most of the appeared candidates for IIT JAM in 2021 was qualified for a PG, including me. Exams were announced earlier by DU, so it was easy to plan and study for examinations. Internal and assignments were not hectic and was students friendly.
I haven't opted for any internships. Because I was more focused on my UPSC CSE preparation from my second year of graduation. But, there are hefty opportunities for students to do internships. 2 of my batchmates have done internships at CSIR in molecular biology. I know many friends who have done internships in many companies.
Multiple companies used to approach the students in end semesters for placements. One of my friends got placed in Tata Electronics after his Bsc Hons chemistry. Some of my batchmates from Zoology got placed in Byju's, Akash, Allen etc as Faculties.
Yearly we had a fees of 19500, including the Semester Exam Fees which is around 3200 for 2 semesters. Majority chunk of our fees will goes to the developmental activities of Hindu College. Tuition Fees is very low as the College Professors and staffs are directly paid by central government. There was a provision of Scholarship by Osa-hindu college (Old students Association) in which they completely reimbursed the Yearly fees of financially backward students. It was really helpful during COVID induced lockdown period.
Social life is the best aspect of this campus. Ingot friends from different parts of the country and still able to maintain that friendship. The clubs and festivals are always memorable experiences including 'Mecca'. Extra curricular activities in the form of seminars , projects , Quiz events , exptempores, etc were amazing
Hostel is located within the campus and it's the best part of campus Life. A fees of 60,000 per year was the fees including food. Quality and quantity of the food is unmatchable . I really enjoyed each meal in hostel.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
