Likes
- I like the college central library which is pretty big and full of knowledgeable books and course related books.
- I also like the teaching methods of the teachers they are very helpful and kind.
Dislikes
- College bathrooms are not cleaned enough, very hard to use it.
- The behaviour of the group D staffas are not good they are very rude to the students.
Remarks :
I chose this college because the college is very near to my home. I didn't face any group discussions, interviews, or written exams. To be eligible for this course students have to pass the higher secondary examination with a minimum of 80% of the results then the student can apply their application through the college's website. From my point of view, the college is very affordable for every lower background student but the college campus is not big enough.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I love the subject and I think that this subject can help in my further studies. There are 5 faculty members and 40 students in each semester so the faculty and students ratio is 1:8 3 faculty members have completed their PhD and 2 faculty members are completed their Master's and currently pursuing their PhD. The teaching methods of the teachers are very good they are pretty knowledgeable and very helpful and kind. Exams are conducted on time, every 6 months the exam is conducted by the university and the difficulty level is moderate. The fees for study are affordable and pretty much fair I think. Students can get many government scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship and Oasis scholarship etc, also students can get other nongovernment scholarships. The college doesn't provide any personal scholarships.
Campus Life :
Every year college arranges an annual function called Vision which is held every year in December month. Every student participated in it and students made their departmental stall (subject-related stalls). Also, the department arranges national-level seminars for students. The library is very big and it is full of informative books and course-related books. Every year college arranges annual sports competitions for students where students can participate in various sports like cricket, football, long jump, High jump,100 meter, 200 meter, etc. Students run many groups one of them is a student union, A Facebook group is available named "Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya Student Union". Our college only has a girls hostel, a boys hostel is not available.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
