- The infrastructure of the college is not well-maintained.

Remarks :
The only factor that made me choose this college was the brand value that it has. This is considered to be one of the best law universities in Asia, which provides good career opportunities. I had to take the Common law Admission Test (CLAT), which is an all India competitive exam for law. One has to crack it to be able to get admission in the top national law universities (NLUs) in India.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is robust, where one has to study almost 60 subjects (law and social sciences). We wrote research paper for each, gave viva-voce and gave written examinations. The faculty is one of the best in India, if not the best. For some subjects like Contracts Law, Constitutional law and Intellectual property law, I think we have the best professors in India. The faculty is very qualified and student friendly, which means we could approach them freely whenever we faced any problems. The teaching method was highly interactive, class discussions were held regularly.
Internships Opportunities :
I applied for internships through the Recruitment and Placement Committee and got several internships at reputed firms. They are Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Saraf and Partners, Fox and Mandal. Apart from that I did internship at the High Court at Calcutta also.
Placement Experience :
The placements that WBNUJS provides is one of the best in India. People get placed in law firms, as in-house counsels, in Public Sector Undertakings etc. Almost all students who sit for it get placed somewhere or the other, although the number of people getting places has decreased post Covid. Firms like Cyril Amachand mangaldas, Trilegal, Khaitan, Indus Law, AZB, saraf and partners come every year for placements. I plan on becoming a judicial officer and preparing for the ame.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I was not a scholarship student. I was a student who qualified Common law Admission Test (CLAT) under the Unreserved category and took admission. We had two semesters and therefore, our total yearly fees was divided into two installments. Tuition fees was Rs. 73,200 for each semester. Hostel fees was Rs. 28000 for each semester. Apart from this, examination fees was Rs. 1200; Library fees was Rs. 24000; Computer Fees was Rs. 10,800. Student Welfare fee was Rs. 24,000 Study Material Fees was Rs. 2000; Moot Court fees was Rs. 2000; Infrastructure and Maintenance fees was Rs. 5000 and placement fees was Rs. 500. This was the amount I had to pay, however, in the recent years the fees structure has changed slightly.
Campus Life :
WBNUJS provides for a great campus life. The sports and cultural fest, called Invicta and Outlawed respectively, are conducted in the month of February each year, where students from all over India come to participate. The library is extremely well-maintained. One would get fiction as well as non-fiction books on varied topics here. It probably has a collection of every law book on the planet. Moreover, the library could be accessed remotely. Apart from hardcopies of books, we had access to numerous journals and publications from all over the world. Every society and club at WBNUJS is run by students. This is a student run university. There are numerous clubs and groups here. There is something for everyone here. The groups are both academic and non-academic.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel infrastructure is quite poor. There are no air conditioners and the rooms are extremely small. First year students were given dorms. The hostels are not sanitary and the bathrooms are dirty. The quality of food and the variety of menu has deteriorated over the years.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
