Likes
- The environment and the huge campus with big laboratories and the most important one is the creatively painted walls. Many events and activities, the professors, the demonstrators.
- Classrooms are well managed, air conditioned, also clean. Transport is also very good by train bus etc.
Dislikes
- As the campus is big there's not enough management. The distance from hostel to our college is more than 800 meters.
- College campus should be more clean and water drainage could be improved and it's quite unhygienic..
Remarks :
I choose this college due to various reasons like.. The overall infrastructure is well developed. Academic part is well organized. All the teachers and Professors are very much professional and student friendly. Labs are neat and clean. Environment is much good. Surroundings are very much greenly. Seniors are cooperative.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose the MBBS course because It offers the chance to help others and make a difference,, Provides job security and diverse career opportunities,,it Is recognized globally, allowing you to work anywhere. It Offers lifelong learning and personal fulfillment. It Can lead to a rewarding career both personally and financially. All the professors and faculty are well qualified.. All of them have minimum bachelor degree they needed Most of them have MD/MS degree. Atleast 5+years of experience of teaching and demonstration. Nearly all of them have clinical experience. Some of them are from Research background also. There are numerous part test,,subject test,,class tests,,trimesters and university exam at the session end.
Internships Opportunities :
No. I'm in the verge of completing my 1st year. So I'm not into Internship now.. As I said earlier,, after completing final year you will have to do your internship from that college. All the students have to do the internship in order to complete the degree. You'll get a salary of more than 25k monthly.
Placement Experience :
After completing final year ,, you will have to do a one year internship in that same college where you will have duties in wards and emergencies. You will get stipend of more than 25k which is highest in the country. All the students who cleared their final year will get the opportunity to do the internship. After that..you can apply for several hospitals as an RMO or for MO positions in Rural Hospitals also...you can go for further studies like MD or MS or more on that
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
During Admission we had to pay 8500/- that included trimester fees of that year. We have to pay 6500/- per year as semester fees We had to pay 1800 for university exam fees and 1500/- as registration fees.. Caution fees is 3000/- There is no such difference in fees due to categories. All students have to pay the same amount of fees. Students from Bengal can apply for SVMCM scholarship which benefits 60000/- per annum. Students have to cross 60% marks every year for that to renew it. Students from other categories can also apply some other scholarships.
Campus Life :
Every year college fest is organized by Students Union at the month of September. There are so many cultural activities and occasions are happened here like Saraswati Puja,, Iftaar etc. Our college library has immense availability of journals and books related to medical field and research. Many sports tournaments like cricket, football,,badminton organized by the students throughout the year. Students Union is the group which helps students for their decision making
Hostel Facilities :
In our hostel,, every room has occupied by 2 students.. There are two beds,, two almirah,,2 tables with drawers and chairs,, The food quality is good...at breakfast you'll get Luchi,,boiled egg,,toast,,tea and poha..in lunch you can get both veg and non veg with all the items you need...in evening you'll get snacks also...in night you can get roti too..with affordable prices. You can register for the hostel during your admission...you have to fill a form given by the admission portal..

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
