- The thing disliked was there the union.
- And also the main thing I dislike was the toilets.
Remarks :
The main factor for choosing this college was it was very near to my home and the ambiance is very productive and knowledgeable. There was no such group discussions or and interviews. There was neither any exams for taking admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reason I chose this course was because I completed my schooling in commerce background. And the main thing is it has a very good scope in finance and accounting in future as well as now , and I love the commerce subject a lot.
Internships Opportunities :
No I didn't opted for any internship. Students get internship with a package of INR 1LPA TO 5LPA . Companies like Infosys, Wipro visit there . Yes, with so low amount of money, I have got a degree in commerce.
Placement Experience :
Almost 90 % of the students got placed at surendranath college, surendranath offered highest package of 15 LPA, and the average package offered INR 5LPA . Top companies like amul, Tata, Dr. Reddy's,etc.., provides recruitment to the students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For every semester we used to pay an amount of Rs6500. And the exam fee was 2500 for every semester and there was a total 6 semester. And also there was a registration fees around 1900. And the total fees for my course including the exam fees around 54000
Campus Life :
There was many programs during my course . There was fest, farewell, Holi programs etc etc..., There was freshers welcome programme for the freshers and also a farewell party for the ones who were on their last year. And also there was Holi celebration programmes during Holi.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality in the canteen was average not bad not good. But the food was eatable. There was a hostel facility but as it was near to my house I didn't took hostel for living. And the hostels are very much cheap and affordable for students .

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
