- The most important is Faculty and then Time schedule and classes.
- Also the interactive seminars and workshops.
Dislikes
- The long time schedule and infastructure where we have to sit in the 5th floor in the scorching heat wave.
- The coercion for participation after College programs which takes a toll on students.
Remarks :
The Faculty members are knowledgeable and know their subjects well. Regular classes, Interactive sessions and weekly internal examination. responsibly finishes syllabus and makes you prepare for exams from beforehand.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Though the Course Curriculum is rather a lot lengthy, its in depth and well acquainted with the NET syllabus. This Calcutta University affiliated College offers a lot more prospect than the others as it also has placement options. But the number of classes are too much for a day.
Internships Opportunities :
No not yet as the study load in the first two years were tremendous and also we have to submit term paper for each cc subjects in every semesters and it becomes a huge problem. There is a strict attendance system which becomes very inflexible and tough for the students for extra curricular activities.
Placement Experience :
Placements are few but not zero. Companies like TCS, Wipro, ICICI Bank offers placements but the lpa are much less. There was no dedicated Placement cell till now and now when there is we have miss our class or tiffin to attend it.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Semester Fees- Rs 15000 Tution Fees- Rs 900 Admission Fees- Rs 3000 Additional Course Fees-Human Rights, Sociology-Rs 4000 per semester University examination fees-Rs 300 per semester Scholarships are Goverment based.
Campus Life :
Samagam is the Fest which us conducted for three days during the month of December. Also tgere us an Open Day where the Alumni as well as the Parents are invited to come to the College. There are several cultural programs as well as seminar by various delegates. It is an anti-smoking as well as anti-ragging campus.
Hostel Facilities :
There is a canteen. Though the quality of the food is not as expected, it is affordable and student friendly. Only Catholic students can apply for Hostel and it is based on first come first serve. The hostel us on Campus and on the top floors of the College building.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
