Hansraj - A Multifaceted Experience

- Air conditioning of the college in which areas the ac's were installed were very good .
- The ambiance of the front view and mainly the greenery in hansraj can be praised
Dislikes
- The C block of the college was not that well in infrastructure. There was also a case when a pice of roof fell in the corner of a classroom during a lecture
- The seats for girls hostel were very low and also the fees for girls were high.
Remarks :
There was no discussion or exam for the admission. It was on the basis of percentage of 12 th class . But for the admission in hostel i went through an interview which was held by the prof . Of the college only . Now there is cuet for the admission in college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose history honours as my course coz i was more inclined towards civil services and still i am . And history was not only my fav. Subject but its also slightly more beneficial for civil services exam than other subjects, in my opinion.
Internships Opportunities :
I was more into my civil services preparation so i never opted for an internship but My friends tried and easily got the opportunity. One was in a corporate sector company and the other was in admission branch of du itself
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are well enough in hansraj , and there were students who got a good package the highest package when i was in my 2nd year was 26 lakhs. I was from history i was not that much indulged in this process. 60% Students who were trying and also working hard for the placements got it. Average package was 14 lakhs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My fee in the first year was 23410 Then its was 22410 in second year and 21410 in 3rd year This difference was because of the examination form fees which was included in tution fee in 1st year than in second year there was only 3rd semester's examination fee was included in fee . And in third year it was completely separated from the fee . It can be seen that fee of hansraj is appearantly higher than other du colleges . But the worth provided during the period of graduation
Campus Life :
In my first year there was no fest in my college because college was recovering from the pandemic period problems and backlashes in administration and infrastructure. But then in 2nd year the situation got better and fests and events like diwali mela and annual fest organised. Stars like Satinder sartaj and neeru bajwa also visited our college campus during the annual fest . Also the societies in hansraj college are active enough to develop one's social life and personality both formally and informally.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel food was very good . The ingredients were good enough. Generally all the dishes were made good but once in a week there was the food intolerable , but again food taste is subjective . The breakfast dishes were very good. For admission in hostel there was a form for hostel and it was held each year separately. And there was also an interview in my first year after clearing the cutoff and other criterias for hostel admission

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
