- Very good infrastructure such as smart classroom and well equipped laboratory
- Campus life is very enjoyable. Good amount of extra curricular activities took place regularly.
Dislikes
- There wasn't much which could say that I didn't like
- The examinations should be held early like the other universities.
Remarks :
The college is a good one which provides quality education. It boosts the overall development of a student. The bad aspect I saw the examinations were held very late as compared to other universities. The admission criteria is based on the scored marks in CUET UG or PG. On the basis of CUET marks obtained, merit lists are prepared and the students selected through merit list can take admission there. I prepared well for CUET and scored good marks which helped me get into the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is a good one and has lot of employment opportunities. It has both classroom and laboratory activities which makes it interesting everyday. This course is designed well and I don't think it requires any more alteration. Events and fests are well organised. Scholarships are available for interested students.
Internships Opportunities :
Many internship opportunities are present. Every department helps in their students internship opportunities. They guide them for internships. Oil companies and pharmaceutical companies are available for internship amd it's pays a good stipend amount.
Placement Experience :
The course is a good one and has lot of employment opportunities. The students who graduated from here are working in many highly paying jobs. Highest package offered was 10LPA and lowest was 2LPA. About 60% students get placed in every batch.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees is around thirty thousand. Admission fee is 19000 registration fees is 2000 and lab fees is 3000 and other charges like exam form fillup and library fees and sports and activities fees are required. The total expense is approx 30000 per year.
Campus Life :
Many cultural fest are organized in the campus such as Ethfiesta, Samagam, Auskriti this was organized in the months of January and September-October. Classrooms are well equipped with high tech digital classroom equipments. Laboratories are also well equipped with required apparatus and chemicals. Library has a good collection of books and journals. Wifi is available throughout the campus. Hostel has a good infrastructure too. Good quality food in mess. A large number of sports activities are held in the campus university week, inter hostel tournaments etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is decent and the menu changes frequently. Hostel seats are limited but still has a large capacity. It's very affordable. Two thousand is charged for room and 1500 is mess fees which is very much affordable.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
