- My College campus is too big some people thought that it is autonomous college or like a university. There are lot of opportunities in my college. Professors are very helpful, our college students are very studies and well known as Lady Brabourne's students.
Dislikes
- Sometimes professors are so bad to us. Didn't think about us and didn't mean to us.
Remarks :
Our college is west bengal's top college but there has some issues which is completely not good to us. Our department teachers are very good to us, but other department like economics Their Hod do very rough behaviour to all. She has been traumatized me, she's the worst teacher I've ever seen. But there also in the other side philosophy department teachers and women studies department teachers are very good they taught us as we thought.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are lot of faculties and curriculum activities in our college. Teaching of the teachers is too good to seen. Their experience with us is very good. 3-4 months after started semester sometimes it could 1/5 or 2 months after.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted till but professors said we will soon. I'm excited for the internship. Our assignments are not difficult they are too easy to resist, professors also help us in this procedure. We made a theory to clarify the task
Placement Experience :
Our college gives us internship but I don't know about the placements. But I think college help me on that program if I do good will. My plans after getting this degree a good job and starting master degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I'm now in third sem and for this I've been paid 3345 rupees.. I don't go for an tution I'm trying hard for my study, last year my registration fees was 300 rupees there has also semester exam fee which is 400 rupees. There are lot of opportunities for sc,st and OBC but general are like nothing at all.. Teachers are so strict to us,some teachers are very good, our department teachers are like a mother who guides us.. Economics department teachers are so bad they do very bad behaviour with students especially the departmental head..She is fear of every student.
Campus Life :
My campus life is quite good to me. Our fest name is kaliedoscope which is conducted on December. There has lot of fun on this fest. A concert also happens in this fest. we have three libraries, our main library is in the main building there has lot of books like literature, journalism, physics, biology, story books etc.

Placement Experience :
Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
