- Infrastructure is great with a separate auditorium and Library and classroom buildings.
- The faculty is well qualified and is friendly to students. Teachers sometimes go beyond their class time and help out students.
Dislikes
- One thing I dislike about my college is that it is quite partial to Christian students as it is a minority college.
- This college is quite underrated and students do not know about it.
Remarks :
Jesus and Mary college is amongst the top colleges of south campus of Delhi University. This college is majorly known for its academics and best faculty. The admission is done though delhi University portal and it is an online process. One can apply through Entrance exam named CUET. Then the college is alloted to a student according to the marks scored by the student. After allotment of the college , the student is just required to go to college with their documents and after subsequent verification of documents.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It is a great college for students all over India. JMC not only focuses on academics, it also focuses on extracurricular events. Students can enrol themselves in society's of their interest and can get exposure of real practical world and can gain knowledge about unexplored topics . Our college follows the curriculum as per Delhi University and hence semester system is followed. JMC is well known for its psychology and commerce department. This was the major reason which made me choose this college and course
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I have done internship in Pehchan an NGO which aims at teaching poor children living on streets at the post of project manager. It was non monetary done for the purpose of gaining experience. This was provided by department of commerce.
Placement Experience :
College offers good packages to students depending upon the course and skills acquired by students. It ranges averagely from 3LPA to 15LPA. The highest package offered was 21 LPA this year to a bcom students. Approximately 30% students get placed in department of commerce. Only a third year student can sit for campus placement. The college also offers internship to first and second year students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees I paid for bcom hons in Jesus and Mary college is 21700 per year. It is to be payable in starting of the year. The fees may vary according to the course opted . It usually ranges from 15000 to 30000 depending upon course. Students who have applied through any quota like EWS .
Campus Life :
Campus of JMC is very lively and it is one of the most beautiful campus . It has great infrastructure as each department has their own rooms allotted. College even has a separate building for Libraty which has 2 floors with books of all department. The college encourage students to take part in sports event and be a part of college team.
Hostel Facilities :
Campus life is great and unity in diversity is maintained in the college. Students from various parts of India come to study in JMC. The canteen is not so good but it offers variety of food item at a reasonable cost. Hostel facility is not provided by the college however students can rent a pg near college in satya niketan at an affordable price.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
