- College is well established and hence provides all the facilities to students. A spacious library for studying, Cafeteria for recreation, sports complex for fitness, well equipped labs.
- Because of massive inflow of patients, students get opportunity to learn practical things in a much better way. And how to deal with patients with empathy.
Dislikes
- Busy and hectic schedule for students and teachers often leads to mental burnout.
- Washrooms need renovation and better sanitation
- There can be improvement in quality of food being served at hostel mess and college cafeteria
Remarks :
Good aspects of my corner are:- 1. Facilities are highly qualified and are great in their respective fields. 2. Infrastructure has developed immensely over past few years, with central Library, cafeteria, highly equipped labs, lecture halls. 3. Curriculum is well planned for overall development of future Doctors. Dislikes:- 1. Washrooms need renovation and proper sanitation. 2. Lifts should be maintained in a better way, as some departments are at 5th or 6th floor. So therefore new lifts should be operational. I gave NEET-UG examination for admission into my college, and cut off at that time was 601 marks for GMC Jammu. I filled counselling via JK Bopee.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Learning to become a Doctor is one of the most noble professional degrees out there in our country. And as a result getting to learn how to cure someone made me take up this course. Curriculum is well planned by NMC, as it caters all aspects and not just regular theory classes but also SDL’s (self directed learning), practical classes, clinical postings, FA’s etc. All these help in holistic development of mbbs students to become better doctors in future. Exams are taken quarterly at college level and Final exams also known as profs taken at university level by Jammu university. Exams are not that tough if one studies consistently thought the year, however it is comparatively difficult as compared to other courses. Faculty to student ratio on average is 20:180. Faculties are highly qualified, as they are all one of the best doctors and teachers in our state. They are always there to resolve all our issues and make all our doubts clear with their teachings.
Internships Opportunities :
As of now I haven’t opted for any internships, however after completion of my mbbs degree I’ll be getting to do 1 year of internship at my own college and hospital. After that I’ll be applying for Post graduation or job as a Medical officer.
Placement Experience :
Compulsory internship for 12 months is offered to every student after completing mbbs. Students are placed in different departments like Medicine, Surgery, Obs and gynae, ENT, Optha, Orthopaedics, Psm on a rotational basis. They get experience and learning from all the branches. Indian after internship students either go for further studies that is doing post graduation, or apply for Job as medical officer or Junior resident in various hospitals. Some even prefer going out of state in private hospitals.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for MBBS course is as follows:- First year:- rs 26250 Second year:- rs 9375 Pre final:- rs 6250 Final year:- rs 6250 Hostel fees :- rs 1500 College subscriptions like:- Games fee, identity card fee, library card fee, annual day fee, College magazine, Lab fees, etc are all provided at rs 1200 per year.
Campus Life :
Overall experience with campus life is good, there are many cultural and sports events that occur yearly. Sports week is celebrated every year around first week of November. Students are facilitated for their performances. In Cultural fest, different performances are prepared both by students and teachers, everyone gathers annually and enjoys to the fullest. Ted Talks are being organised yearly which are a great expertise for gathering knowledge. freshers Day and farewell day are celebrated every for batch incoming and the one outgoing. College has its own sports complex which provides facilities for various sports. Gym are being set up in both boys and girls hostel for promoting fitness of students. Many committees are present in college lead by students and teachers together.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are available nearby college for both boys and girls separately. One has to apply at wardens office for getting hostel. Food quality is average and per day three meals are served costing around rs 120 per day. Affordability is at par as it’s just rs 3500 per year, with one time security deposit of rs 5000.

Placement Experience :
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
