- The environment of the college is excellent and non-toxic. Everyone helps everyone.
- The faculty is very helpful and you can turn to them for any problem you face in your studies.
Dislikes
- The campus is a little small as compared to other DU colleges
- The canteen food is not so tasty and doesn't have good portion sizes
Remarks :
I chose this college because of it's academic faculty for my course and it is a renowned college under the Delhi University. I had to give CUET which is common university entrance test to get into this college and the preparation for that is based on your 11th and 12th grade syllabus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The commerce faculty of gargi college is excellent. They are highly qualified and dedicated professionals who are also very understanding and friendly. The teaching techniques are great as it enables the student to focus on the concept of understanding and not just cramming. The exams are held semester wise and the difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internships yet but the placement cell offers a lot of internship opportunities to the students by regularly forwading messages on their WhatsApp group. Companies like Deloitte and PcW offer internships to students through the placement cell and the students can register online for the same and after a screening of the application an interview would be conducted for getting the internship.
Placement Experience :
Corporates like Boston Consulting Group, Bain and Company, Ernst and Young (E&Y), KPMG, The D.E Shaw Group, Accenture, PwC, Nation with Namo, Wipro, American Express, Deloitte India, Deloitte USI, NIIT, Genpact, Protiviti, Capital IQ, UrbanClap, Grofers, Zomato, Evalueserve, Inshorts, have been consistently recruiting from Gargi College for the past few years now. The highest package offered in the session 2023-24 was INR 21.05 LPA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee increases as you complete your years . For first year it's 15K for 2nd it's 18K . So it increases. The college provides scholarship schemes for students in need , applying for the scholarship is quite hassle free.
Campus Life :
The life is gargi college is blissful. An only girls college might sound boring or intimidating to some but let me tell you, it's the best place ever. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and making friends here is 10 times easier. The college has an annual fest called Reviere which is conducted in February and apart from that the college also hosts a diwali fest called Zistatava. There are many societies that you can be a part of for example, Enliven (the dancing society), Q.E.D( debating society), Euphony ( singing society) . The marketing society and placement cell etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The college doesn't have any hostel facilities as of now but there are a lot of PGs near the college, almost at walking distance. One can easily visit them and see for themselves what they like. Most pg's are 10 to 15 minutes away from the college

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
