- The college has smart classrooms, ac auditorium and separate grounds for sports.
- The infrastructure is good, we have clean drinking water supply and accessible canteen.
Dislikes
- Some faculty members are rude towards the students.
- The toilets are less hygienic as it should be.
Remarks :
I choose this college because its overall record is good over other colleges and it was near my home. The college has a vibrant campus and a decent maintained infrastructure. The admission process is simple you must pass 10+2 and a decent rank in WBJEE or JEE Mains. The approximate cutoff for WBJEE is around 30000(CSE).
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as this was a booming course right now and has more jobs related to other fields. The minimum qualification of the faculty is Masters. The faculty members are quite friendly and cooperative. There are two semester each year and internal exams are there.
Internships Opportunities :
The Internship Programme is available after 6th semester. Our college has both Paid and unpaid internships opportunities. Mostly unpaid. We had a AICTE IDEA LAB which holds a rank in India. One can access the lab under some supervisor for making there projects.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria is a minimum maintained GPA throughout the course. The top recruiters in our college is Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, SAIL, and many more. The highest package in our college is around 15LPA and the average package is 4LPA. Almost 70% students get placed each year. I will try to grab an on campus placement in my Branch.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees you will be paying is 150000 INR. The total course fees is approx. 600000 INR. This fees include tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees and other charges. For EWS the fees is way less than the general candidates. There are many scholarships available in our Institution like, SVMCM for West Bengal students.
Campus Life :
The campus life is good. We have programs each months. The orientation program is called NOBOBORON in our college. Our college has different clubs which is called GENESIS. Our college has a common library which has almost 100000+ books. Our college organizes inter-college sports tournament.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
