Indraprastha college for women is the oldest women college of University of Delhi. It is one of the best college for the course of sociology. It has the best faculty for this course. One can get admission in this college through CUET-UG . The cut-off for admission is around 720/800 ( cuet score) . Preparation for cuet can be done through 12th class NCERT books.
Sociology has been my favourite subject since class 11. It is an interesting course and relates you with society. The faculty of sociology department in Indraprastha college for women have PhDs in specific field, and are experienced in their subjects. The exams are conducted twice in a year in 2 terms . The question paper is made by university of Delhi (teachers from different colleges of University of Delhi) .
No I haven't opted for any internship or placements. But the college provides VCIS summer and winter internship. The selection is through CGPA, written test , discussion round, interview. Students have to take permission from the college before applying for full time internship.
College has its own placement cell named JEET. In the third year it helps students by providing internship and placements from various companies like EY . Students who have applied for placements have to give written test and interview.
The year - wise college fees for the course of honours in sociology is 20710. In the first year it was around 28000 including tution fee, registration fee etc. The complete course fees will be around 70000 ( for 3 year degree).
Indraprastha college for women is known for its beautiful infrastructure. It has a heritage building in front that is also a picture spot for students. The college is spread in 24 acres , it has swimming pool, sports ground, indoor ground, gym , psychology lab , computer labs etc. There is varieties of flaura and fauna that makes it more beautiful. Campus is pet friendly. Nescafe is recently opened in the college apart from that it has canteen.
I haven't opted for hostel but as my friends had , the hostel fees is 90000 without AC and 1100000 with AC. The food is average. College has two hostels, one is IP hostel and other is Kalavati Gupta hostel. Kalavati Gupta hostel is with in the campus and IP hostel is near the campus, 100 mtrs. Away from the college.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
