Likes
- Campus life is very good, everyone is equally treated.
- Infrastructure is well built. Have 2nd Campus just for IT department.
Dislikes
- As the college situated in a raja bazar the hue and cry before entering the college is unbearable.
- Fees is on a bit higher side. Average fee should reduce.
Remarks :
I was searching for a college affiliated to University of Calcutta and nearby to me. I found this college near sealdah railway station which is very good to me in terms of transportation. I goes to college via train everyday as this college is just 5 mins walking distance from sealdah Station. Also it has it's own historical values.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Exams are conducted in a very efficient manner and there is an environment of silence in exams. Teachers are helpful, guiding and behaviour is friendly. I choosed this course as I love mathematics. Our HOD of Mathematics department is very friendly. Most of the professors in this department have done P. HD and there teaching skill is very good. Overall there is an good environment of study. Highly recommended for this course.
Internships Opportunities :
Actually I'm currently writing this reveiw in 4th semester. So I haven't attempted any placement interviews till now. But expecting the interview in 6th semester. Computer science students are more preferable to them.
Placement Experience :
As it is a General Degree college, do not expect any high placements but some reputated companies come each year. Like TCS, HDFC Etc. All jobs are for non - technical departments. So salary they give a little low. Overall acceptable.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For Mathematics Honours - Odd Semester ~Rs 6000 per Semester and for even semester ~ Rs. 1500 Per semester. Total ~ Rs 7500 per year. For other courses it starts From Rs 6000 - Rs 15000 per year. The highest fee of the course is Computer Science Honours almost Rs. 15000 per year.
Campus Life :
Every year there is a freshers fest. Our college invites famous singers, actors like Darshan Raval, Javed Ali, Dev etc in this fest. Also it organizes a lots of fest like holi, saraswati puja, etc. The best part is cells like anti-suicidal and others. It's a completely ragging free campus. Also the whole campus is WiFi covered. Overall there is a very balanced social life in this college.
Hostel Facilities :
I personally didn't opted for a hostel or in any nearby mess. But there are lots of options like mess, hostel, flats etc. One can easily get that. Best part is affordable. Every mess or hostel has it's own rules like some mess do not allow entry after 10 pm.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
