- The infrastructure is excellent with good classrooms, good campus and labs. Faculties are really helpful.
- The communication route is very good. Bus, Auto stand is near to the college. Hospital is very close to the college.
Dislikes
- They should increase the number seat for every course which is currently limited to 120.
- They focuses too much on theoritical study sometimes. I prefer practical study more than theoritical study.
Remarks :
First I came to know of this college from their advertisement on newspapers or social networking sites. Then I searched about the college on various social medium(Youtube, Facebook etc.). After that I got the contact no and College's official page and official website. I read all. As I have given JEXPO entrance and have alloted ceat via councelling and a vaild rank card so there was no interview or test I had to give there. But those who have came for direct admission they have to give sone basic interview. The process of the admission is very simple. If you have valid rank card or alloted cit at councelling in JEXPO exam then just go to the college with it along with all your qualifications documents, photo and govt. ID Proofs and take the admission. They will help you in every step of admission there with proper guidance. There is no cut-off for admission there but there is 120 ceat limited for the course. So, once the seats are filled the generally close the admission procedure.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have taken the course because I have interest in electrical engineering subject. All the faculties are B.tech or M.tech qualified in this course. There teaching procedure is very good. As there are students from different states so they teach in both English and Hindi and if needed then local bengali language also so that every student understand the topics. Exams are in semester which is in every 6 months but in between two internal exams also taken by the college in each semester. The diffculty level of the exams are moderate. If students study well and attend classes they will easily score good marks.
Internships Opportunities :
Compines like TATA power, SHYAM metalics etc. offers one year inetenships. Students if eligible with good marks can get oppertunity to do internships. 15-25 students from every batch will get chance for intership here.
Placement Experience :
For placements Tata Power, Yazaki, valeo Lighting, shayam steel etc. Companies come here. The takes 30-35 students from every batch those who have good skill and no active backlog gets selected easily For Tata Power students have to qualify a hard technical test and then interview and they must need to have minimum 60% through whole academic career.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The course is for the students who have completed HS or class 10 from any recognized university or who have completed any ITI degree( if taking admission as a lateral entry on 2nd year of the course). The total fees of the course was 120000 for three years full time program. At admission time I had to pay around 40000 and then rest of course fee was divided into five parts and had to pay during the end of every ongoing semester( start of new semester). The students if eligible for the scholarships programs offered by the college( like Asha Jyoti Scholarship, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship etc. ) then he had might have to pay less course fee. Students need to have minimum 40% marks at class 10 or 12th or ITI degree to be qualified for admission in this course. To avail the scholarships student should have 60% above marks in class 10, or class 12 or ITI. Dircet admission as well as Jexpo exam qualified admission both are considered here.
Campus Life :
The campus is very good. Firsty college is very strict when it comes to ragging. They first takes anti-ragging documents for every students with their gurdians signature so that anything happend they will take action against the student. They have active student forum. They have cultural clubs and official page in facebook, Instagram and common official website also where all the details about the college available. We have a large central libary and a regalar college library together. So, every books are avialble there. Students have to take libary card from college. With this card then a take five books at time from college. If they need then take it to their home or mess or hostel for the whole semester as well as they can study at library. Annual sports programs are there. We have indoor as well as outdoor game set up and a gym also. The classrooms are very good, large, clean and well-decorated. Every year here tech fests are organized on december-january.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
