I got this college by clearing JEE(Mains) and JEE(Advanced). I filled a preference list of all the IITs and got this college in the 6th round of JoSAA Counselling. Further, there is a rule in JoSAA that you have to take the seat offered to you in the last round of JoSAA Counselling or else you will never get any seat in any of the IITs in future. So, I took the seat in IIT, Ropar.
Firstly I got the branch of Chemical Engineering through JoSAA Counselling. So I completed my 1st year as a student of Chemical Engineering and all the students of first year are offered same subjects in their first year therefore there is a scope for Branch Change based on the CGPA and I changed my branch to Mathematics And Computing. Overall the course are doable.
I am a student of 2nd year and currently I have not done any Internship. The internship in our college is generally done in the start of the 3rd year, that is, 5th semester. These internships are very crucial from the placement point of view.
In my college, many companies visit every year. We have a dedicated. This year companies like Google, Adobe, Pattern, BPCl, Tata Steel, Oracle, etc. have visited our college to offer internships to our college students.
The total tuition charged to SC students is 0 (zero). We have to pay other fees like hostel and mess. Also, we have to pay for the student activity fund (SAF); this fee is used to organize various festivals at our college. In total, we pay Rs. 14,500 for the academic registration for the odd semester and Rs. 7,150 for the even semester. Also, we have to pay almost Rs. 25,000 for the hostel and mess for each semester.
There are 4 fests celebrated in our college every year. First is Zeitgeist(cultural fest in October), Malhar(Literary fest, March), Advitya(Tech fest, February) and AArohan(Sports fest, March). There are a good amount of books available in the library. Also, there are almost 50 clubs in our college and all the clubs are under the boards.
The food quality is average. To register for the hostel we need to pay the hostel, establishment fees through SB Collect. Our hostels are in a very good condition. Every year lakhs of money is invested foe the maintenance of our hostels.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
