Remarks :
I'm From Sikkim so one of the most important factor in deciding this College was that it was close to home. The good aspects of our College is that the campus is very good and if you are a sports person of any kind you have the freedom to practice from 6am till 9pm. There are Badminton courts, football ground, volleyball court, cricket ground, swimming pool etc. They also have NSS and NCC if you are interested and various other clubs. The bad aspects are unfortunately the administration of the University. They are very careless and You can feel The hierarchy in the prioritization of the different departments. If you want to pursue paramedical this is a good University but for others however it Is very careless. But the professors are nice and qualified.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course cause forensics is a course I was always interested in. The faculty are qualified they are professionals with experience of working in actual cases the labs are also good with all the instruments and apparatus present. The sessionals and finals are also on time And the difficulty level is well dependent upon you. It depends on whether you have studied or not. The odd sem is relatively short compared to the even sem cause of dusshera diwali and other holidays.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Registration fee is 30,000 plus 10,000 security deposit. 1,00,000 per year (50,000 per sem) You Can avail scholarships of You are a national level athelete or if You're an international student. You can get your security deposit back after the completion of the course
Campus Life :
The infrastructure is one of the strong points of this University. The annual fest is called "attitudes" and it is held in The month of February or March for 3 days. The library is big and there are books are various journals present related to various topics and subjects. There are many intra university And inter University sports event held there are various courts like Badminton, football, cricket, volleyball, swimming pool and a gym. There are various clubs like dance, music, drama, photography, art, NSS and NCC. There is also a directorate of student affairs and you can join it if you're interested.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
