- The cleanliness of the toilets could be better since water is not available everytime and it is smelly
- A few people often have the tendency to misbehave with new students, but college student affairs does take care of them

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because : 1. I have a personal knack in biology 2. A chance to serve humanity could be never missed 3. Lot of knowledge to learn 4. Faculty were all p.hd doctorates with 10+ years in teaching experience 5. Teaching method was extremely fluidic, with our HOD Supriyo Chatterjee Sir explaining everything in a whiff all between the stories he tells. 6. The term exams were quite difficult in terms of technicality, but anyone who has studied well and understood the topic would be able to answer 7. Exam procedure was strict and very organised, always on time.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship is mandatory for the last year, and I did 1 year of internship with a detailed logbook to be filled about my screening and different types of patients and diseases that I dealt with. Meticulous exams and presentation classes were taken for us to present our cases that we have solved and the faculties would watch upon our performance in a detailed manner.
Placement Experience :
Placements are available as soon as the degree is about to be over ; I secured 3 jobs at campusing and ally fellow classmates are really happy with the process. For placement, a student has to pass with good numbers, they are groomed and prepared for professional interviews and presentations. The highest package in our time was 4 LPA. About 99% students got placement at different hospital and optical brands.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Admission fees was 27000. The college fees per semester was 58000 INR with the tuition fees included within, which totaled the yearly fees to around 1.2 lakh INR. 5 -6 different types of scholarship are available ranging from 25% - 50% coverage of total college fees, and if someone belonged from an underprivileged place, he could be provided with upto 100% scholarship depending upon the college's decision.
Campus Life :
Campus is a huge area with lush greenery so relaxed feeling was everywhere, has 3 cafeterias with ample space to relax The library is the biggest room of the college and houses all the books required for my course and studying. College has gym and swimming pool alongside courts for basketball and cricket/football grounds. Fest is conducted every year around April and it is celebrated in a grand way with excellent
Hostel Facilities :
I did not avail hostel, although hostel fees is very modest and the food quality is excellent; not even once I fell or uneasy after eating the food. Hostel rooms were cleaned regularly and extreme hygiene was maintained

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
