Likes
- Faculty members teaching and non teaching stuff are very cooperative and friendly and well qualified have vast knowledge.
- Campus is very big and beautiful cleanness is maintained everyday and Infrastructures are very good and well maintained.
Dislikes
- The hostel are not much good if you have any other option then don't go for the hostel
- Facultys are very cooperative and qualified but if you go for the taking permission for doing something it will be a long process.
Remarks :
I choose to study there because for the M.com course this is the best affordable place in Barak valley, In admission process we have to give one selection exam which is The Common Entrance Test (CET) on the based on this exam's marks and previous course marks, selection is done. The cut off mark in CET is based on the admission year completion, but more than 70 Mark's is enough for the selection
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because course curriculum is comprehensive and well-structured complete the course before exam and they conduct the exam on time provide courssmart classes and well qualified teachers with Phd holdings provide quality education, I chose this course because it combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, making it applicable across multiple industries and career paths in finance, consulting, and beyond.
Internships Opportunities :
I didn't yet opted for any internship but we can apply through PM internship scheme which is free and any one can apply it provides six months internship program which helps to learn so many new things and help to overcome our limitations.
Placement Experience :
The placement is dependents on the which department which course you selected. Maximum of our senior get good placement and they also give campus placement opportunities every year many students are selected through campus placement with a good starting salary.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly overall fees structure for the course M.com is on first addmission it will be 18000 and second year addmission it will be 16000 it may change sometimes, Only tution fee (monthly) @ 300.00 (for one year) which is 3600 yearly
Campus Life :
The campus is very big and beautiful, provide facility which includes hostel, ATM, hospital, cantine and every basic needs. Playgrounds available for cricket, football, badminton and vollyball, every year a big sports event is conducted. The social groups are available on fb Insta and website is just search Assam University Silchar and you will find the official website.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opted for hostal they provide daily bus I go through this, hostel facility are good but I dont like the mess service and food quality is not up to the mark and. Provide one room for two students and hostel infrastructure is very good. The registration process for the hostel is after addmission we can apply for the hostel from office website within three months. The hostel fees or 2400 yearly which is good.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
