- The worst thing was the management of the college
- There was a guy named Mintu in the management. Hello is nothing ut a money sucking machine. His behaviour is worse than anything. I think requiting eligible and knowledgeable management can lift this college up .
Remarks :
Basically after my diploma in Pharmacy 8 was confident to pursue b.pharm . But my JELET score (929) was not so good to get best colleges. That's why I find some colleges which are good enough and provide pocket friendly courses. Then I got to know about this college. It was extremely new at my time so we had to face various problems at the start .
Course Curriculum Overview :
First of all b.pharm course curriculum was really tough and vast . There are lots o subjects in every semester. In reviewing my faculties I would like to speak that .. they were good but not too much experienced I mean to say there are few teachers who has better experience it's likely 2 to 3 teachers who has a great experience. So i would say faculties was avarage at that time . But now a days the faculties are increasing and very experienced. Lastly I have to say that yes b.pharm is not that easy subject. You have to do study for good marks . Exams are also tough .
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I have done a internship at alkem laboratories which was situated in Sikkim . It was a great experience. I really thank my tpo cell for giving me this opportunity specially Avik dutta sir . I think this was the last .
Placement Experience :
Placements depends on the strengths of students and ge connections of teachers. Placements are not as good as the first placements but I assume it will increase day by day . I don't appear for placements as I continue study .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
See as I got lateral admission so my total course fee was around 285000rs for 3 years . Yes there is a scholarship available of rupees 60k for a year . For getting the scholarship 60% of marks was needed in a avarge year . So i was able to get total 3 yr scholarship i.e 180000rs . So i have paid (285000-180000rs =105000rs ) for my B.pharm course. In my time (2021-2024) it costs 42400rs/semester. Now I think it increased a little bit may be it's around 47k/semester now . I have to paid additional cost of 5k and 6k as caution money and college dress fee.
Campus Life :
I was not in hostel but I can say it was good . And there is various social events arranged by the college. There is a central library with sufficient books . We as the first batch of dmbh arranged the first fest called as DMBH HOPE which was really a successful event.
Hostel Facilities :
I was not in college hostel . I take a paying guest house for myself. It costs around 3k including fooding and lodging. We called it debasis dar mess . It was the actual knowledge house for me and seniors was my teachers . I heard that college hostel was good . But there are very strict guidelines for the hostellers .

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
