Dislikes
- The placement of the college is not great
- The hostel are not well maintained. We don’t get well functioning rooms
Remarks :
Although there were not any additional tests that i gave the admission was based on my jee rank and i was from Punjab so i got the home quota. The admission process was very easy i filled a online registration. The factors that i chose while selecting the college was distance (it is not very far from my hometown) and the facilities that it offered like all the labs the Phd holder teachers. And the placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is not very vast it mainly revolves around theoretical knowledge and practical. There are many times i have felt the teachers do not pay attention to the practicals and labs but focuses mainly on this is how you should write in exam and not this is how you should perform when you are in a technical field which is not a great thing. The course is not hard on paper to be honest the syllabus is very doable when if you start studying 1 week before the end exams you can easily ace them. The core faculty is GREAT they have knowledge and only they tell you about how bad you are in terms of technicality very few teachers though. After some semesters the guest faculty are given the non core subjects but they don’t have experience and they have no idea on how to deal with study. They have knowledge but they lack teaching skills but is bad for your overall knowledge.
Placement Experience :
The job opportunities are very less. The campus does not provide with many options. there are very limited companies coming in college. The students from other campuses come to the main campus for placements and the students from main campus go to other companies as well.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester the tuition fee is 44,700 as per my my year but the fee this year (2024) has gradually increased 53k per semester i myself avail post metric scholarship which is for SC students of Punjab. Other scholarship options are still there the university accepts scholarship from others states’ students. If you are a student from Punjab itself you are given some concessions. My friends got to pay 6000 lesser than actual fee since they were from Punjab itself. The examination fee is 1500-2000 per semester. There are no additional fee for lab or something all is included in tuition fee. Although the college is very cooperative to loan students it asks for various documents in each fee related matter.
Campus Life :
The main thing i really like about the college is the social life and people in it. It is a type of college where you will see students coming from all over the India be it north, northeast, south. This is a great thing about college you get experience so many cultures. The social life is great the crowd is great in here. There are various fest that one is 3-4 day long fest held on mid march. There is a event like aagaz that’s held every year during October. Talking about library it is a very well maintained place you will find all your course textbooks and reference books in there with recent editions. The library is a place where you’d wanna go, sit and read The vibe is great the silence is maintained no eatables are allowed. Various tournaments keep happening many games are there suck as basketball, volleyball, badminton, cycling, wrestling etc. The university has clubs like cultural club, editorial club, training and placement club, freelancing club.
Hostel Facilities :
I have opted for hostel and the hostel are well fine but we do not get wifi. It is affordable but they keep increasing the hostel fees. The hostels are not very bad. We get a balcony, a washroom and etc. There are many PGs near the campus. The mess is not that great but it’s fine. The mess is 105 per day. The quality of food is fine but as compared to home food it is nothing. That is it about the hostel

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
