All about NITJ (pros and cons, fee details, admission process)

- Lush green campus, good infrastructure, decent sports facilty
- Well qualified professors, good teacher to student ratio.
Dislikes
- Very low girls to boys ratio, and restriction for first year hostels.
- Very strict 75% attendence policy. If not then you will be detained from giving exam, and a hectic schedule.
Remarks :
According to my jee score this was the best college i was getting according to academics , placements and college life. It has a very lush green campus with a good infrastructure and decent sports facilties. Admission process was carried out through josaa/csab counselling and then physical reporting happened.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There is one mid sem and one end sem examination held every semester. There is one final practical examination for the lab subjects. One have to score minimum 40% of the total aggregate marks in each subject to get into next semester. Difficulty level of exams is moderate. Faculties are very well qualified and cooperative. They wre available in all working hours
Internships Opportunities :
NIT jalandhar offers good internship opportunities. Companies like microsoft, google, amazon, flipkart, oracle, adobe came here for internships. Students can apply after 2nd year onwards for internships.
Placement Experience :
Average package of college was 10 LPA last year. For tech branches it was stood at 13 LPA. Companies like microsoft, amazon, google, nvidia, adobe, oracle, atlassian came here for campus placement and internship. Highest package was 64 LPA offered by atlassian to 4 students. Almost 70 students got package of greater than 25 LPA .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For obc/gen/ews having income greater than 5 lakhs :- Tution fee :-Rs. 125000/yr Admission fee :- Rs. 2000/yr Devlopment charge :- Rs. 10000/yr Alumini membership fee :- Rs. 1000/yr Institute security fee :- Rs 5000 (one time only) Library :- Rs. 2000/yr Student activity fee :- Rs 10000/yr National/international conference fee :- Rs. 1000/yr Internet/computer fee :- Rs. 2000/yr Other charges :- Rs. 4000/yr Fee waivers :- For gen/obc/ews whose income is within 1-5 laks have to pay only 33% (i.e 41680 Rs.) of the tution fee. Rest of the charges are same as above For sc/st/pwd or obc/gen/ews candidates who have income less than 1 lakh have to pay 0 tution fee and rest is same.
Campus Life :
Utkash is NITJ's cultural fest which is held every year. There are many other fests also such as techNITI (tech fest), bharat dhwani (NITJ foundation day). All festivals are celebrated with joy in NITJ. All basic amenities are available in campus. There are two libraries one is old and other is newly constructed. There are almost 1 lakh of books in old library and new library is equipped with almost 500 computers where students can study. There are seprate ground for cricket,football,volleyball,basket ball. Indoor sports facilties also there.
Hostel Facilities :
There are 3 hostels for first year students. Bh1 , bh2 and bh5. Bh1 and bh2 have 4 seater rooms and bh5 have 2 seater rooms. Facilties and food quality of all hostels are good but it is best in Bh1. Food menu is changed daily. Veg non veg are both available. Hostel allotement was done through online mode.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
