Some reality about NITJ
Likes
- Faculty is good and people that we meet here are amazing. The size of the college does not matter when you are around good people
- Its difficult to find true friend but one definetly gets some.
Dislikes
- Campus is small but the area has increased now.
- Lab and equipment in the core labs are pretty old.
Remarks :
I had to give JEE(Joint Entrance Exam) to get admission to this college and the process is simple give the exam, get a rank, fill the priority table according to your college choice and rank and college and branch will be alloted accordingly. The counciling is done by a government body called JOSSA.This is the only major way to get into any IIT or NIT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is according to the NEP 2020. We get to study various subjects during the various semesters including programming languages and many others as well. The faculty is very cooperative and they tend to help the students in every way possible. As there are a few students in every branch the teachers and mentors can have a proper focus on each and every student. Exams are taken twice mainly along with continuous evaluation.We have mid sem and end sem examinations and the credits are divided into various subjects. We even have a branch upgrade option for the first year students if they can manage to get the required CGPA.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internship programme but i will go for one in the thirt year. If you have a decent knowledge of the subjects then one can definitely get an internship in the field of their choice.
Placement Experience :
The placement is good and my branch has 90 to 100% placement. Average package is near about 8 lakh for my branch. People mostly do internships in their 3rd year and some even join the companies they did internships in. For my branch, people try securing jobs in government companies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The scholarship is based on income and quota basis SC/ST students don't need to pay tution fees and OBC/General students get deduction from fees according to their family income based on income certificate. It is same for all NITs students with income less than 1 lakh need to pay no tution fees just their accomodation and food charges and those with income less than 5 lakh need to pay 50% tution fee.
Campus Life :
The campus life is good in terms of social relations but the campus is not that big like private colleges but it's good. You won't meet new people after 1 or 2 years but the number of friend and the time you will spend with them will be amazing
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel quality is not that good its just like how you would expect a government handled hostel to be. The food is just okay but the people and the fun you get is not explainable. Its amazing with amazing people.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
