Getting into SNU is very simple. I heard that they are very flexible. Hence I opted for this. They charge quite less based on the market price of other college master's degrees. I chose this college because I am a CFA level 1 candidate and need to focus on it. There is an online admission test which is just for custom purposes, no preparation is needed. If somebody is preparing for other exams along with master's, SNU is good. But in case if you are only putting your eggs in your master's degree, I will say please choose another alternative.
My department faculties are quite qualified. But then here students have to show interest to get the most out of it. Faculties are quite supportive I feel. The course curriculum is a little outdated I feel. Also, other colleges have grooming classes for job placement, which SNU does not have for my department. Also, not much emphasis is given to technical skills given.
I have not opted for internships as I have already done a few, but my friends who opted for internships are good. One of my batchmates is interning at Mendine, Rs 6000 per month stipend as a quality analyst.
For the economics department placements are there, like it's all from Bangalore, Gurgaon, etc. Also, the salary is only Rs 30,000 which is not sustainable to survive in those cities. Recently I was interviewed for EY, it's been a month, and no information has passed about the results. My alums seem not so serious with placements, so they aren't placed. But then here placement drive goes on. People from other departments are placed, but not from mine. In case I am not placed I will go for off-campus job searching. Overall, for the economics department, the placement scenario is not so good, but then other departments are good.
I had a 100% scholarship so I paid Rs 60,000. But the actual fee is Rs 1,35,000. Registration fees are Rs 30,000 and per semester I pay Rs 7,470. Most of my classmates have scholarships so it's hard to tell the fee without scholarships. You can avail of a scholarship based on your percentage of previous education. You need to score 70% or above.
Well on campus there are always events going on. I am currently focusing on my CFA preparation so I don't participate. But then the campus life is very much like a dream college life kind of. If you are someone looking to enhance your dancing, singing, etc skills or showcase those, you are in the right place. It is also good for making connections with people of different experiences and backgrounds.
Here they kind of misguided the students. They do not have any in-house hostel. In fact pictures in the website are fake. They are tied up with an accommodation provider company named, Sandree Homes. This company is good. They charged Rs 13,000 for rent, daily cleaning, warden, food, travel, and AC. The food is good here. But after sometime you will feel bored. They have different rooms as in double sharing (AC/NON AC) and Triple sharing (AC/ NON AC). I was in triple sharing AC. I will suggest you look for Pgs or a flat. You can opt Sandree Homes pg itself, its good. I stay here, and I save a lot of money. Besides you learn adulting.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
