Remarks :
It takes admission only through wbjee which is the joint entrance exam for engineering in west bengal as it is a govt college A rank below 5000 is enoaugh for admission here for general reservation and for reserved category it depends.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I wanted to study chemical engineering and it was a govt college and also near my home town Teachers are overqualified and highly educated but usually teach from notes and the teaching is also bit outdated Exams are taken timely and usually easy as mostly are from notes.
Internships Opportunities :
I did my both of my internship from iit dhanbad on alternative fuel as it was a research paper so cant disclose all the details but it was a good project and I learnt lot of things from that Usually college doesn't help in placements and getting internships.

70% is required for seating in the placement Itc hpcl iffco berger paints linde and woods usually come for placements and average package is of 4 lpa Most profiles are project engineering Last year 60% were placed and few went for further studies.

Campus Life :
No tech fest or any type of fest is conducted , social life is nil in this college Library has every type of book and journal available Ecell is present in the campus and usually active and helds hult prize every year.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is cheap but not well maintained and the rooms are small and not so clean Food is cheap and healthy but has no taste and mostly watery Hostel is provided according to need and distance Usually people of 2nd yr get preference more.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
